Chapter II

Ezra POV:

I had been so lost in talking to Kyle and Archie that I didn't hear the bell ring for class. Only when our Principal, Miss Tan, yelled at me to hurry up and go to bio did I get up. Kyle and Archie are so lucky that they have soccer practice for the tournament. They don't have to go to seven classes after recess, which is basically the rest of the day. I mean this is international level, so it's really important that they practice as much as possible. At least Maudie is my partner in bio.

When I reached bio, I found Maudie already at our bench. She smiled at me and was about to say something when the teacher walked in and we had to stand up and wish her good morning.

About halfway through bio, I passed Maudie a note. She read it, wrote something, and passed it back to me.

Date at 7 tomorrow?

Yes, for sure.

I smiled and stuffed the note into my bag before the teacher could see it.

TIME SKIP to the end of school

I walked home to find Poppy sitting on my bed, reading another one of her Percy Jackson books. I've confirmed it, she is obsessed with them.

"What are you doing in my room, and why are you on my bed? Get off." I said to her.

"Your bed is so much more comfortable than mine." she said.

"Okay, quit the pretending to be nice. Why are you here?" I asked.

"I wanted to hear how things were going with Kyle and Ava." she replied.

"How do you know about that?" I asked her.

"If you think Maudie and Ava only talk to you, then you are sadly mistaken, big bro." she replied.

"Just get out."

She smirked and walked out of the room, clutching her book like it was a precious gemstone.

I sighed and sat down on the bed. Suddenly, I felt really drowsy and fell asleep almost immediately.

I woke up to find Maudie above me, slapping my face lightly. 

"Ezra! EZRA, WAKE UP!" she screamed.

AND......CLIFFHANGER!

*evil grin*
