Chapter 3

After I calmed down we all decided to go out to eat. We were sat at a large table at a local diner. The waitress came around and took our orders.

"And for you?" She kindly asked.

" I'll take a Iced Tea and a chicken fingers, fries, and a side of ranch." I smiled up at her and gave her my menu.

The group besides Demi looked at me in shock. "What?" I asked.

Dom looked at me eyes bright. "You, my friend, have been promoted to best friend. Sorry Demi."

Fergal and Luis looked exasperated. "Not another one !" said Fergal. Luis cackled. " Don't tell me you eat like a child too!"

I looked at them and laughed. " Hey there is nothing wrong with a safe food. If you fuck up chicken fingers, you seriously shouldn't work in a kitchen."

We all laughed together and finished eating. We all got in the car and car pooled to the hotel the company had us in for the night.

"You should room with me." Demi said turning to me in the elevator.

I smiled and looked at her. "Okay. Let me go to my room and get my stuff."

After getting my stuff, I went to Demi's room 2 doors down. I knocked on the door and she let me in. After dropping my stuff she took my hand and led me over to the bed. We both layed down and I cuddled into her side.

"I missed you Dems. It has been hard since Charlie got deployed again." I said honestly. She was someone who kept me grounded, hence why she was my best friend.

"I missed you to Lils. I'm glad they put you on RAW with me. I missed seeing you." We looked into each others eyes.

My heart was pumping a mile a minute. My breath was labored. I didn't know whether to speak first, or to let her. She smiled and caressed my cheek.

"Lilly I have to tell you something, but I'm scared it will ruin our friendship." Demi whispered.

"Just tell me Dem Dem." I whispered back, looking into her eyes.

"I like you Lilly. I like you a lot. I have been debating on telling you. I never knew how you would feel, or if you even like me back or...." She rambled on.

I smiled at her and leaned in and kissed her. She shut up and kissed me back. We pulled away and smiled at me.

" I feel the same way Demi. I always have."

She looked me in the eyes and pulled me closer, digging her head into my shoulder. I felt her wet tears on my shoulder.

"Hey,hey,hey what's wrong?" I asked petting her hair back.

She pulled her had out of my shoulder and looked me in the eyes.

"You have no idea how happy I am. How happy you make me. You are the most caring person I have ever met. You have been there for me for 18 years. I could never imagine you never being there. I was so scared I would scare you off."

"Never Dems. I didn't know how to tell you either. You are the light of my life. You and me always...just how it has been for the last 18 years."

Demi looked me in the eyes one last time and smiled, "Lilly, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Of course." I whispered and gave her a kiss.

We cuddled together and went to sleep because we had to be up early for a flight to Toronto.
