Ally pov
I grab my bag from behind the garbage can. Silently I make my way outside to find dark clouds billowing above. I sigh with discontent in my tone. Of course my stepmom had 'forgot' to pick me up from school. My old truck's engine was busted and my dad promised to fix it but the likely hood of that happening were slim.
The rain finally started to pour from the dark gloomy clouds. I don't know why but tears started to well up in my eyes. I felt lost, alone, and completely abandon. I sat on the steps leading into the school, honestly at this point I didn't care if I got wet. I buried my face in my hands.
After about five minutes I felt my close surroundings start to dry. I assumed it had stopped raining but when I looked up from my hands I found a boy sitting next to me. He had brunette hair and striking green eyes. This boy was holding a large black umbrella over our heads stopping the rain from drenching us. He noticed that I had looked up and we just sat there gazing into each others eyes.
I felt the blood rush to my cheeks as he gave me a small smile. "Are you okay?" He asked his voice soft yet deep and assuring. I nodded slowly. I impulsively squeeze the water out of my hair. "Are you sure? I found you sitting here. Do you need a ride?" He glanced up and down my body checking for possible signs of injury.
"I'm fine. Thanks for the offer though." I assure him.
"Sure thing. Can I umm... get your number?" He gazes into my blue eyes with a twinkle in his.
"Yeah." I fish through my bag and pull out a sticky note and pen. I quickly jot down my number. Then I hand him the note. "I didn't catch your name, what was it?"
"I'm James." He grins.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Ally."
"Ally, that's a beautiful name."
My cheeks flush again and I look away. "Thanks. I'll see you around I guess."
"Yeah, see you around." James walks away. Once he turns the corner my view is cut off.
As I walk the six miles home all I can do is think about James. I'm interested to see where our friendship lies. If that's what I should call him, a friend. I don't know. I liked it. Maybe the rest of Senior year wouldn't be as bad as I thought.
A/N- This was just a random idea I had come up with. I hope all my readers enjoy it. :)
