James pov

I trudge down the sidewalk towards my house. The puddles around me splashing as I pass through them. I hear the rain patting down on my umbrella. All I can think about is the beautiful face of that girl I found on the school steps. Based off her beauty she's probably super popular. I search my head trying to remember her name. Ally, it was Ally. My such a lovely name.

I'm not sure what love feels like or even looks like. My parents got divorced when I was four so I don't remember much. My mom lives in England now and I'm stuck in Idaho with my dad and step mom.

Anyways as I was saying, I've never experienced love but maybe that was starting to change. I think I'm in love. Ally was the most wonderful person I'd ever seen. Love at first sight? Is so real! Lucky for me I can tell you that. I'll even confirm it, I think I'm in love with Ally. Hopefully I'll see her at school.

I walk up the slippery steps to my house and open the door. I wipe my shoes off on the mat and climbs up the stairs to my room. Closing the door I fall on my bed with a sigh. My heart beating against my chest.

It's true love.

Ally's pov

Finally, after half an hour passes since James left me alone by the school, my dad arrives. I climb into the passenger seat of his BMW. "Punkin I'm sooo sorry! I totally forgot your car isn't working and I had to pick you up."

"It's alright dad." I mumble.

He scrunches his brows together looking over my soaked body checking for injury. After he's sure I'm ok he pulls away from the school and starts to drive home. Your...step mom is out with her friends tonight if you want to invite friends over to, hang."

"Dad, I don't have any friends. Remember."

"Oh, well I won't be mad if you go to some party or social thing. Get to know people punkin."

"Dad! I'm the straight A student! The nerd! I don't go mingle at party's and other things like that. I stay home and do work. The whole definition of who I am." I snap.

He stares at the road in silence for a couple minutes then speaks. "Alright punkin, just don't be so hard on yourself."

I gaze out the window as rain drops trickle down it. I sigh and rest my head on the seat. James' face projected in my head. He probably won't even remember me by tomorrow. It was silly of me to catch feelings for him but I could feel the love starting to boil in my stomach. My heart beating against my chest.

I'm in love.
