One thousand years ago, superstition and the sword ruled. It was a time of darkness . It was a world of fear. It was an age of gargoyles. Stone by day, warriors by night. We were betrayed by the humans we had sworn to protect, frozen in stone by a magic spell for a thousand years. Now, here in Manhattan... the spell is broken. And we live again! We are defenders of the night. We are Gargoyles!

With the sunrise fast approaching, the sky's of New York City feel safe. At least they would if not for the palpable sense of fear through the hearts of those who have seen the so-called "monsters" from the clock tower. Gargoyles. The ancient myths and legends are in fact true and alive today. And because of an ancient grudge of vengeance, people of New York are scared from both ignorance and propaganda. Ever since the discovery of the Gargoyles, the ones who have the most to fear are in fact the gargoyles themselves. The clan has had experience being hunted before, but not on this scale. The entire city and possibly beyond is hunting them like rabid dogs. The only option they have at the moment is to hunker down and try to think of the next step. And that's exactly what Goliath, leader of the Manhattan clan, was doing at this moment. After his and Elisas encounter with the quarrymen, he had much to think about as well as the encounter with Jon Canmore and Demona separately. He decided to have a meeting with everyone at the tower just after sunset when everyone wakes up to explain and explore any options.

"Alright everyone, let's get down to business. Our situation has changed dramatically since the clock tower was destroyed, and now the humans now know we not only exist, but it seems they are starting a new form of hunters guild. After the encounter with the hooded men, we can only assume that there will be more of them. It is quite dire." Goliath explains to the clan. Brooklyn and Lexington were listening with rapt attention, while Angela was holding onto her mate Broadway's arm for support. Hudson and Bronx were off to the side with serious expressions on their faces. Elisa, as per usual, was standing next to her now official mate to aid in exposition.

"We aren't 100% sure who the quarrymen are, but it's safe to say Jon must be either a member or even the leader of the group. He's gathering like minded followers to try and hunt down all of us. And unfortunately, thanks to his little stunt, many people are so scared that they may join just as a way to feel safe." Elisa stated.

"Can't we just explain that we aren't like he said? That he was mistaken!? That we aren't monsters! We're people too!!" Angela asks exasperated. She steps up to Elisa and her father. Goliath steps forward to meet her halfway.

"I wish things were so simple, but humans fear what they don't understand. And more often than not, stubbornly cling to the easiest explanation when afraid. It is a hurdle that is hard to overcome, but not impossible." Goliath comforts his child, placing his hands on her shoulders to steady her.  Angela bows her head in sadness at the thought. She steps back to her original position next to Broadway.

"Xanatos let us back into the castle, so that solves one problem." Elisa continues.

"They haven't tried to attack us here, which can either mean they don't know we're here, or they don't think a direct attack will work up here. Either way we may need to fortify the castle just in case the battle comes home, but subtly enough that not too much attention is brought here." The clan takes this knowledge in.

"People may know we exist now, but that is even more cause to be vigilant about our presence." Goliath says to everyone. Everyone has a similar reaction to the news, heads down and not pleased. Hudson sighs and pats Bronx's head when he lets out a sad whine. Elisa walks up and joins the comforting pat.

"I know the situation sucks guys, but we've been in deep ruts before. We got out of them before, we'll do it again and every time after this. And we make it through, why? Because we have each other, now and always. We are a clan." Elisa tried to bring the feelings of the room up, and it seemed to work.
