On a distant planet, covered in snow and frost, there was a vicious war, a war between the Covenant and the UNFC. After a long and seemingly endless battle in the harsh snow storms, both forces retreated. In the heat of battle and the sudden panic of retreat, a handful of soldiers of the Covenant and the UNFC were left behind, and few survived the freezing temperatures and the devastating blizzards. I was one of those survivors. After I was left behind I sent out a distress signal to the UNFC HQ, pray to God that I don't freeze to death.
All I could see was white, I could only see a few feet in front of me, the strong winds were easily enough to overpower a normal human and send them flying, I couldn't feel many parts of my body, my ears were ringing from the loud and limitless whistling of the wind leaking into my helmet, the air was so crisp and frigid I could bleed from my nose at any moment, if I wasn't a Spartan I'd probably be dead, thank God the UNFC installed heating in every piece of Spartan armor. My body felt like it was burning, the heat and the cold were becoming too much for my body to handle. After wandering through the harsh blizzard, in the distance I saw something sticking out of the snow, as I walked over I slowly started to figure out what it was, it was the hand of a Sangheili sticking out of a pile of snow, it was frozen to the touch but was still soft, I felt the wrist and I could feel the warm veins still pumping, they were alive, I my mind fought against heart, I my heart said I had to help, I couldn't just leave a living creature to die, but my brain said they were my enemy, logically I should leave them here to freeze solid... But my heart won that battle. I started to dig around the hand and I eventually pulled them out. After sharing our body heat back and forth, saw the mouth of a cave in I dragged them to an empty cave and I caught my breath.
I put some dry wood on the fire to stoke it, the flames flared and burned brightly, emitting comforting heat, as the fire crackled the sounds of whistling wind were slowly getting drowned out. I tended to the Sangheili's wounds, they had gash in their side and their leg was broken, thank God the snow and freezing temperatures kept the wound from bleeding out, I took off the Sangheili's armor so I could tend to the wound on their side, I soon found out it was a female due to the very presenting breasts but nonetheless I continued aiding her, it was strange because usually female Sangheili wouldn't be in battle, eventually I bandaged her up and covered her in many blankets as I could fabricate from my med kit. It felt somewhat nice to be around another living organism, even if they were unconscious and possibly a dangerous enemy. After an hour or two of sitting by the warm fire she started to move, I gave her space and time to wake up calmly.
After a few minutes of tossing and turning she slowly opened her eyes, she looked around in a dazed state but soon locked onto me with her bright green eyes, "where... Am... I...?" She said in a drowsy tone, I tried to speak in a calming voice, "you're on Cryodëon 5", her pupils dilated and focused directly on my helmet, before I had a chance to speak she lunged herself at me, "DEMON!" She yelled out midway through her handicapped lunge before she collapsed to my feet, her expression changed from anger, to emence pain, to even more rage, "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME DEMON!!" She yelled out loudly, after a few seconds she gathered a second wind and pouched on me, she put her big hands around my neck and started strangling me, I couldn't breathe, my eyelids were becoming heavy, I could hardly speak, before she could finish what she planned on doing to me I tried my best to let out a last ditch effort to stop her, "I-i... S-saved... You...", her powerful grip around my neck loosened and I took a big relieving gasp of air, "y-you... saved me...?".
