It was the first time feeling loved. That business man, who looked past my evilness. Was it because he was even more animalistic than me? Maybe..

"Dad??" I knocked. "Can I come in?"
"Dahlia, my darling." He replied "Come."
I walked in and faced my father. His dark black hair and bright green eyes, I saw myself in him. Angel on the outside but a cold blooded killer inside. Merciless. My eyes scanned the room and studied the usual sheets of paper scattered on the brown wooden desk.
"What do you need, my angel?" My dad didn't look up from the paper he was vigorously scribbling details on.
"I just wanted to check if that business meeting was going on later because me and Jad-" I spluttered it quickly.
"Yes." He snapped.
Unsurprisingly, I wanted, to get out another business meeting. They bored the life out of me and all I got out of it was oogly eyed men staring at me. With at least one ending up dead for disrespecting me.
"There is a gala afterwards" My dad licked his thumb and separated the papers he was writing on. "I am expecting your attendance, Daliah."
I mean at least there was a party out of it.
"Of course father." I smiled.

As soon as I got back to my bedroom I called Jade and told her my dad wasn't fond of us going out instead of the business meeting. She was devastated of course. So, I did something stupid.
"Why don't you just sneak into the gala?" I giggled into the phone.
"Full of mafia people? Yeah right." I could practically hear Jade's eye roll behind the phone.
Jade had been my best friend since babies. Our mothers were friends and made us two just as inseparable as they were. She was also the most beautiful in my eyes. Her beautiful blonde wavy hair and blue eyes complimented my jet black locks and green eyes.
"Yeah, sneak in." My tone became more serious. "My dad is the most powerful anyway."
Jade sighed and paused for a second.
"Okay, fine." She huffed.
Even though she sounded moody, I knew she was internally screaming inside.
"I'll text you the deets, bye babe!"

I needed to focus on getting ready. I put Travis Scott on blast and danced away whilst doing my glam.
"What to wear?" I mumbled to myself.
Red. Perfect.
I chose a short, red silk dress that hugged my waist. I paired it with gold heels and some gold jewellery.

"Daliah!!" My dad screamed up the stairs.
"I'm coming." I shouted while putting my hoops in.
I ran downstairs and greeted my mother and father.
"I'll see you later, my stunning daughter and husband." My mother smiled and kissed our cheeks. "I will meet you both at the gala. Stay safe!" She gave my father a look to say protect me.
I hugged her after my father gave her a kiss.

Me and my Father got in the Ferrari and he drove us to the secret meeting place. It sat on a seat next to him once we arrived.
"Bonetti is late." Rosco scoffed.
Rosco had been one of my dad's closet business ally for years so I was used to seeing him. Across the room where Grayson Mendoza and Freddy Raynes. I also briefly knew them. But who was Bonetti?
Suddenly, the door flung open.
"Dante." Rosco eyed him up and down. "You are late."
"I know" Dante replied, looking unbothered.
"Daliah. I don't believe you and Dante have met." My dad looked at me to introduce myself.
"We haven't" I replied quickly and uncaring.
Dante's eyes lingered on me before he sat without saying a word.
The business meeting went on boring as usual until it finally ended and we made our way to the gala. I told Jade to meet me in a secret spot outside the mansion so we could go in together.
"Daliah?" Jade whispered. "I'm here."
I scanned until I saw her hidden in a bush near the spot. I dragged her out of the bush and we walked into the back entrance. I'd been to plenty of these galas before so I knew where to go.

When we entered the music was pounding and people were already tipsy as we where slightly late . I wasted no time and went straight to the bar. Me and Jade partied and got a little more than drunk to the point she was pouring straight spirits down my throat from the bottle.
"I think I'm going to be sick" I spluttered as I ran to the bathroom. Jade was too busy making out with a well known celebrity round the area. I did wonder how he got invited but I was too drunk to care. I fell onto the toilet and spilled out some of the drinks from earlier. I sighed, that just means I can drink more right? I ran back to get Jade but smashed into a brick wall. The wall was 6'4 and smelt of whiskey and tobacco. It also spoke.
"Delilah?" Dante looked down on my 5'4 frame.
"I think I'm gonna puke again." I held my hand to my head and breathed in his scent. His brown tousled hair fell perfectly and his blue eyes pierced into me.
"H-heyy." I giggled.
Dante's eyes studied me for a second before he grabbed arm and walked me over to my father.
"Sir." Dante sighed.
My father rolled his eyes and thanked Dante for being there. My father dragged me to leave and my mother closely followed.
"Don't cause a scene, Delilah." My dad hissed in my ear.
"But dad JADE IS HERE!!" I screeched.
"Jade!" My father shouted over to her.
She was completely oblivious to what he was saying.
"Jessica, my dear please go collect Jade and bring her home in your car." My father smiled at my mother.
My dad lifted me over his shoulder and ignored my complaining.

Jade arrived home 10 minutes after me. By that point I was on the verge of blacking out. As soon as she arrived we both fell asleep instantly.

I woke up to a loud, continuous knock at the door. Jade opened her eyes at the sound too.
"Is your mom not gonna answer that?" She yawned.
"Mom? Dad?" I shouted. I got no response. "They must be out."
I stumbled out of bed in the same clothes at last night and opened the door. I rubbed my eyes but smelt a familiar smell. Whiskey and tobacco.
"Dante?" I screamed, horrified at him seeing the sight of me.
