Also I have a FleshCousin headcanon (still don't know if I should call it that) that I made up some time ago, so I'll just copy and paste what I said in Tumblr.
Basically, I like to imagine its appearance when mimicking having semi-noticeable flaws that differ from what the person's avatar is.
For example, in my drawing, the original avatar it's mimicking has 3 four-petaled flowers going across their forehead, but the doppelgängers has 3 three-petaled flowers instead.
A permanent flaw I imagine it including in every avatar it copies is the one blind eye shown in the drawing as well.
I didn't say this in Tumblr, but I also like to imagine the doppelgänger have a more desaturated color pallet than the OG avatars
Done with that, I'm gonna go make more of these ✌️😋
