-3:02pm- Underground City, Small House -Year 832-
"Levi!" a small running boy at the tender age of 7 yelled smiling as he made his way through the room towards his older brother. They weren't that far apart in age, only 5 years. "What Kaito" the older boy hisses towards the body barreling towards him. "I got bread today!" the child smiles excitedly towards his older brother holding up his prized possession.
"Where did you get the money?" Levi asks Kaito whilst he bandages up his hands. Kaito notices this and his expression falls. 'You're going to go out with uncle again?" his innocent voice asks with a hint of sadness. When Levi went out with their uncle Kaito would be left alone. He wanted to go with them but the man always chose Levi to take, never really spending time or even looking in Kaito's direction. It hurt the boy as he could never understand why Levi was the chosen sibling.
-7 pm- Underground City, Streets
-Year 844-The Underground City was getting dark as a cloaked figure was sticking close to the shadows. The stature wasn't too tall, in fact rather small at a measly 5 foot 0 inches. From the black cloak wrapped around the body no features were made visible. The male kept silent as he followed his objective avoiding suspicion by blending into the darkness. It's what he was good at.
The red cloak disappeared around a corner, the black one following silently whilst keeping a distance. The silver blue eyes shined as a dim light from a window caught his face revealing his features for a brief second. A handsome man at the ripe age of 19 was revealed under the cloak. His pale skin was beautifully clear as well as clean. Something you don't see much in this Underground City. The city that Kaito called home.
After tailing the woman for 10 minutes he halts as she stops outside a house, grabbing a key from her pocket. She enters her house and Kaito scales a building across from it to keep an eye on the woman through the windows easier, thinking of a way to get inside Kaito was silent as a man walked past his hidden position and disappeared around the corner. It would be simple to break in through a window, not too much noise if done properly. Nodding Kaito noted the woman was in the bathroom, not anywhere near the window and so he proceeded to enter undetected. He was almost expecting a clean place like his own house but instead the stench from outside was just as bad inside. Piss lingered in the air normally as it was the Undergrounds unique smell but Kaito was so used to masking the stench he forgot other houses weren't as clean as his own.
"Disgusting" he mutters whilst grabbing the blade from the sheath attached to his vest on a belt. Steel eyes look around the room observing the objects and mismatched furniture around him. A poor man's home. Not as clean as he would have it but it was cleaner than the streets outside. Walking towards the bathroom slowly and silently he heard her humming towards herself and a splash of water coming afterwards.
Thinking of the best way to take her out he went through his options finally landing on quick and violent.
Bursting into the room caused shock to resonate through the young woman. It was enough to have her freeze up on the side of the tub where she was lightly playing with the water below. This was an opportunity for the young man to end her life right then and there. He plunges the knife deep into her throat whilst holding her lower back and gently lays the body into the water. She didn't struggle as she bled out, she didn't seem to understand what was going on. It took 2 minutes for her body to give out. The life drains out of her as the water dilutes the red pouring out of the deep wound whilst Kaito looked upon his work.
The water eats the red in a swirling pattern. It held life in their movements. Something the eyes staring up at him lacked. This is the worst part of the night. It wasn't killing the person or tracking them down. It was the glassy eyes of his victims staring right into his soul. It reminded him of how heartless he really was because as he looked into those eyes he felt nothing. He knows he should feel something but he's just so stripped down from his emotions that he's void.
