Emily: You boys are wusses!
Lunia: yeah quit being babies!
Max: You're driving like a psychopath!
Lunia: oh c’mon don’t be dramatic.
Emily and lunia laugh as they fly over a speed bump on the road. While the boys are crying in the back.
Emily: jeez you guys aren't gonna like what we're gonna do next if your like this haha
Adam: why what are we gonna do?!
Max: oh no… lunia please dont…
Lunia drives off the mountain, letting the car fall through the air.
Emily and lunia: wooooooo!
Adam and max: ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Lunia: Emily open the door!
Emily: Okay haha!
Max: Wait no!
Emily opens the door and then climbs out onto the roof, lunia does the same and the boys peer out the window to watch.
The girls stand on the roof like they are surfing, laughing and pushing each other over.
Max: we’re going to die. It's that simple. We’re done for.
Adam: welp it was nice knowing ya!
The girls climb back in and lunia takes the wheel, just as the car is about to hit the floor, she turns and lands on a ramp and then continues driving as if nothing happened while the boys are freaking out in the back.
Max: that was- fu- fucking awsome!
Lunia: I know right!
Adam: no! Not you too mate!
Max: dude we just fell off a cliff and lived!
Adam: You kids are going to kill me! This is crazy!
Emily: Well you wanted our help right? We just do things a little differently.
Lunia: So which way is the lab?
Adam: left into west street, then right into antler street, then it’s on the left.
Lunia: alright, hold on tight.
She speeds over a roundabout and knocks over at least 3 infected.
They continue driving until they arrive at a mental hospital.
Adam: Why are we here? This isn't the lab.
Lunia: no, we're taking a quick detour.
She gets out of the car with her gun and walks up to the doors, she pushes them open and looks around. People were alive there.
Lunia: Hello, nurse. Please, I'm here to visit someone…
Nurse: um sorry, now isn't really a good time as um you know the outbreak.
Lunia: please i'll be quick, i just need to say goodbye, you know in case i die…
Nurse: Okay but be quick!
Lunia: I will, don't worry.
She walked through the ward, the others catching up to her. She then enters a small dark room with a small bed in the corner. A little child sat on the bed.
Lunia: Hey chloe.
Chloe: heloooo! You haven't visited in agesssss! Ooo! But you brought new friends!
Emily: wait! Chloe? I thought she di-
Lunia: shh! You'll scare her.
Chloe: Hello new friends. Wait… I know you… emily?! Hiiiii emilyyyy!
Emily: hi chloe…
Chloe: Lulu, why has you not visited me?
Lunia: Sorry but it's because you know the boy I brought last time…
Chloe: yeah ethan! When is he gonna come back?
Lunia: he died…
Chloe: oh… let's bring him back!
Lunia: Wait no, Chloe, that's why I came to see you, we need your help, remember when mom and dad used to tell you not to use your ability, well I need you to…
Chloe: ohhhh why didnt you say so!
Chloe sits back down in a meditation position.
Adam: the hell is going on, please explain.
Chloe: It is done. You're all better now. Here, have this and use it every time you get hurt.
She hands lunia a small vial with pink liquid in it.
Lunia: Thanks chloe. Look the world bad right now-
Chloe: I know there's an outbreak of the infection, I heard the nurses talking about it, we're going into lockdown.
Lunia: oh yeah um well im helping stop it spreading so i might not be able to visit again…
Chloe: oh… okay so i'll never see you again…
Lunia: Maybe I don't know yet… just keep yourself safe okay.
Chloe: okay… i love you lulu…
Lunia: Love you too chloe…
They hug and the group leaves.
Emily: You told me she died.
Lunia: no mom did, she wouldn't let me tell you the truth.
Emily: How could you keep this from me? You lied.
Lunia: im sorry emily, i didnt have a choice.
Emily: you didnt have a choice but to tell me our sister was dead?!
Lunia: Okay calm down a minute.
Emily: no! How could you lunia? I cried every night since she died and she's still alive! You lied to me! That broke my heart! I hate you your just like-
Emily pauses, regretting her words and thoughts. Lunia looks away.
Lunia: Just like who emily?
Emily: lunia i- i didnt mean-
Lunia: JUST LIKE WHO?! JUST LIKE MOM RIGHT OR DAD? BECAUSE I'M SOOOOO BAD!
Emily: lunia please i-
Lunia looks at Emily, tears in her eyes.
Lunia: enough. I've made a decision. You are to stay here.
Emily: what?! No!
Lunia: call it catching up on lost time. Goodbye emily.
Lunia locks the door, leaving Emily in the hospital.
Max: Um lun, I get your upset but don't you think that's a bit too far…
Lunia glares at him, full of rage.
Lunia: Too far? Oh hun we passed that bridge a while ago. She just needs to learn a little lesson, we'll be back for her.
She gets in the car and instructs the boys to do the same.
They start driving towards the lab, the boys in the back are whispering.
Adam: what was all that about…
Max: Honestly, I have no clue, they don't talk about their parents often…
lunia:(overhearing everything) you boys need to learn how to whisper. Sigh our parents were not very nice people okay, they were bad people, very bad. They sent us away as punishment to special army camps… they sent Chloe to that hospital…
Max: oh… but why? And why did Emily think she died?
Lunia: because she's gifted, and she's no good at army training, she was only 3… my mother knew emily would hate them for it so she made me lie,‘say she's dead or i'll kill you myself’, that's what she told me. I hated lying but i didnt want to die…
Adam: thats illegal-
Lunia: don't ya think I know that, idiot!
Adam: sorry…
Lunia: Eventually, we were removed from their care, after our teachers found marks on us, and we told them everything. That's how we ended up in the system.
They arrive at the lab, crawling with the infected.
Lunia: Alrighty we're here, now enough of my sob story, let's blow some fucking brains out!
