"YOUBITCH! HOWDAREYOULEFT WITHOUTSEEINGAFUCKINGGOODBYE YOURASCAL! ITRIEDTOCONTACTYOU SOMANYTIMESANDGOTOYOUR HOUSEANDFACEYOURSTUPIDFATHER BUT-"

You move the phone away from your ear as she continues yelling from the other end. It's the first time you've heard her curse and direct her anger at you like this; she's always been genuine in your presence.

After a moment, the line falls silent, and you realize she's calmed herself down. Tentatively, you bring the phone back to your ear, only to hear her sobbing, making you feel a pang of guilt.

"H-hey..." you say, unsure of what to say next. "Look, it's my bad that I didn't say goodbye, but I guess my father already told you the reason, right?"

"Yeah..." she replies, her voice still shaky. "He said you're in training, but I didn't get to ask where it is so I can visit you."

"No need," you reply nonchalantly.

"Whatever, I'm trying to track your location since I figured you wouldn't say it," she snaps back, her determination clear despite her tears.

You freeze after hearing her words, and realization hits you. Without another word, you end the call and turn off your phone.

Damn that girl.

"Must be hard to keep up with your girl."

You snap your head towards the door and see a familiar face: a pretty guy with a purple knot in his hair. He's smiling as he walks towards the vending machine. Moments later, he retrieves a phone and strolls over to sit beside you comfortably.

"How did it go?" he asks.

You raise an eyebrow at his question as he scrolls through his own phone. Noticing your silence, he looks up from his screen and studies your face.

"I mean with your girl," he says awkwardly.

"I don't have a girl," you reply flatly.

He scoffs and extends his hand toward you. "The name's Reo."

You struggle to suppress the urge to say, 'I don't give a shit,' and manage to keep it in check.

"Kei," you answer shortly.

Just as you're about to stand up and leave, Reo starts talking again. "You're one of the best guys out here, right?"

You look at him in confusion as he chuckles, still looking at his phone. He then turns it off and smiles at you. "What are you saying?"

"I can tell," he replies. "There are only a few guys who can have their phones here."

You raise an eyebrow, not quite following his train of thought. Reo notices your confusion and continues, "Only the top trainees get privileges like these. You must be pretty skilled to be among them."

You can't help but smirk a little. "So, you're one of the best too, huh?"

Reo shrugs nonchalantly. "Something like that. But I think we'll be seeing more of each other. You seem like someone worth getting to know."

You're not sure if you like his confidence or find it annoying. Before you can decide, Reo's phone buzzes, and he glances at the screen. "Looks like it's time for the next session. See you around, Kei."

With that, he stands up and walks away, leaving you with your thoughts. You decide to shrug it off and look at your phone in your hand.

You proceed to open it, and a few seconds later, a notification from your girlfriend pops up on the screen.

"Found ya! 😉"

You curse under your breath and call her number, waiting for her to pick up. A few seconds later, you hear her voice.

"Yes?"

"Where are you?" you ask, trying to keep your voice calm.

"You're acting cold right now. Can't I even have a 'how have you been, my pretty Yuri?'" she responds, and you can hear the familiar sound of an engine in the background. You picture her, probably on her motorcycle, the wind whipping through her hair.

"Hey. Where are you going?" you repeat, more urgently, your mind racing with possibilities.

"Guess where?" she answers sarcastically.

"You're kidding."

"I'm not."

You feel a mix of frustration and resignation. "Yuri, seriously?"

She laughs softly. "You think you can just disappear without a word and expect me to sit around waiting? Think again, Kei. I'm coming to see you."

You rub your temples, feeling a headache forming. "Yuri, it's really not necessary."

"And you think I care?" she retorts, her tone lightening. "You left without telling me anything. Do you know how worried I've been?"

Your heart sinks, guilt mixing with concern. "Yuri, I-"

"Save it. I'll see you soon," she cuts you off before hanging up.

You stare at your phone, jaw hanging slightly.

Damn it!
