AMARANEVER HAD IT EASY, her mom died when she was 4 years old and her stepdad turned to anger, violence and alcohol because of his grief. Amara only had one person, Amor her twin brother. One day they had enough and ran away. Either by coincidence or fate they met three other demigods on the run, Thalia grace, Annabeth Chase and Luke Castellan. Thalia gave her life so Amara, Amor, Annabeth Luke and Grover could get to camp safely. Sure enough this was enough trauma to endure as a demigod? Wrong!!
On Luke's 17th birthday he got what he was promised for years now, his own quest. Amara could tell his heart wasn't in it though, if it was because of how bitter he felt towards his dad or because of the fact the quest was already done she didn't know. Luke took two campers with him, Amor Lockhart and Steven Grainer. The night before he left he'd admitted his feelings for Amara and she had kissed him goodbye.
Imagine the heartbreak she felt when Luke was the only one to return from the quest. She'd lost her other half and felt nothing but resent against the gods, and she wasn't the only one to feel this way. That's when the nightmares started.
