What if Izuki stayed with Overhaul?

Bit of info: What separates this from the main story, is that Overhaul never put Izuki in the forest, and Tokoyami didn't live on the streets, but both stayed with him as they grew up and Overhaul's plan was completed.

3rd person

Shin Nemoto knocks on a door and a girls voice echoes from the other side "One second" He waits a few seconds, tapping his foot on the floor with his arms crossed. The door is opened and he's met with the person he was looking for, in a pretty plain outfit, but with one thing sticking out above all else. "What's with the kitsune mask? Boss made it clear that you don't get masks" "He gave this to me as a reward for my last mission, something you failed at" "Eri is quick, alright? I got to her before heroes saw her, unlike you Eevee" Eevee scoffs, "What did you want" "Boss wants to speak with you, your teammate is already there" Eevee nods and walks off without another word.

Eevee opens the door and sees her boss and teammate playing a game of chess, "Really? Chess?" "Ah, Eevee, here you are, thank you again for fetching Eri on her last run" "Of course, what did you want to speak to us about?" "As you know, Eri ran into a hero student, and as you reported, she seemed to not want to go with you, so we believe that the heroes now know about us and where we're stationed" "I'm sorry Boss, I'll do better next time" "It's fine, they would have found us eventually, Nighteye is the one leading their search after all"

"What I wanted to speak to you two about, is that we think they'll be showing up here in a few hours, including two people that you two knew before joining me"

Overhaul, when Tokoyami and Izuki were about 13, returned their memories to them but he changed them just a bit, to where Jackson and Evelyn had treated the two horribly and they joined Overhaul willingly to gain quirks and show that they weren't useless.

"Palkin and Misdrea?" "Indeed, those two" Eevee groans and sits down "Why can't the heroes just mind their business? Sure, me and Honchkrow have killed people for you, and Gengar too, but the idiot got arrested a few months ago" "Yeah, he failed miserably" "I will admit, Gengar failed me, but you two have never failed me" "Is there anything else you need?" "Yes, Eevee, you are to stay with Eri and keep her safe from harm, we still need her" "Will do" "Honchkrow, you are to help Rappa with keeping the heroes out, and if they get past you, avoid being arrested. Do not fail me you two, or there will be consequences" "Yes sir" "You two may go" The two get up and after giving a quick bow, walk out.

"Hey, Eevee" "Yeah?" "Do you ever feel as if we're missing something? Kinda like you know you lost something but can't remember what?" "Hmmm... no, why?" I don't know, it's just something feels... off" "I get what you mean, but I don't feel that" "Maybe I'm just imagining it" "Probably, I'm going to go check to see if Eri ate this time, want to come with?" "Nah, I'm heading to train" "Alright" Eevee and Honchkrow split off, with Eevee going down multiple floors, and eventually stopping at a door.

She looks through the window, and see Eri sitting on her bed, with a untouched tray of food on the table. Eevee sighs and walks in, closing the door behind her, "You really should eat, it'll help you have energy to function" "I don't want to, I want to leave this place, the hero I ran into was so nice... why did you have to take me back here?" "Because it's what Boss wanted" Eri wipes her tears, and hides her face against her knees "Why won't you listen to me when I say he's using you, just like me" "Because I would know if I was being used, and he has done nothing to show that he's using me" Eri picks up one of her toys and chucks at Eevee, who catches it, "That's rude, what was that for?
