Star sits in maths class, silently waiting for the bell to ring while fidgeting with her sleeves.. Her anxiety getting worse.. amplified by the fast that she only sat next to people she hated, god they annoyed her.. specifically the "preppy girls".. all they cared about was makeup.. and skincare.. and blah blah blah.. Star didn't give two shits about what they liked.. because all these girls do is constantly talk behind her and her friends backs.. while also making fun of their appearances... slowly withering away her limited sanity and patience, but she tries so hard to keep herself from punching these idiots.
Star clenched her fists as the girl in front of her started to giggle about something Star didn't care about, her headphones barely muffling the sound.. but if she were to take them off all the background noise of her maths class would come flooding back.
"Can you please be quiet..." Star's voice only came out as an annoyed grumble, far ruder than she expected.
The girl's annoying smile disappeared the moment she heard Star's tone, ignoring her and turning back to her friends. Making Star's mood worse, and causing her to stress.. making her do something.. rather.... Impulsive..
Star's hands slam down on her table, causing the sound to echo through the hollow metal desk.
"SHUT UP!!" Star's voice boomed as she let out a soft cry afterwards, she trembled as she saw everyone in the class stare at her, even the teacher looked disgusted and disappointed at her.
She fell back into her seat, covering her eyes as she started to cry.. causing more of a scene.
"Star. Go to the principals.. NOW." Her teachers voice made her tremble as her stomach sank.. Star knew that her mother wouldn't be to mad.. but she was still worried about what her mother would do about this situation..
—
The way the principal stared at her made her feel sick..
"Do you understand why you're in my office, Star?" The principal stared down at the soft girl, the tips of her pillow body flattening like cat ears.
"I-...I'm sorry.. I.. was really stressed a-and..-" The girl started to stammer while desperately trying to defend herself.
The principle scribbled something down on a piece of paper before handing it to Star.
"Your teacher requested a three days of lunch detention.. and we will have to contact your parents." He crossed his arms and looked down at Star, shakily holding the paper.
"I-...oh..... uhm.. okay.." Star felt like she wanted to cry.. she'd never got a detention in her life... god how would her mother react..?
—
When Star was sent back to maths, her whole class just stared at her... it was unsettling to a major degree. She felt tears prick at her eyes.
"Sh-..shit.. stop looking at me..." Star mumbled under her breath, just quietly enough to the point where others couldn't hear her.
Star's teacher pulled up a chair in the back of the classroom, gesturing for her to sit there.. just drawing more attention to her. Star reluctantly sat in the seat, setting her green book bag next to her feet, letting it slump down under the chair. She shakily pressed her headphones to her ear with one hand and pulled gently at the top of her soft head. Picking at the loose stitching from stress and fear.
BRRIING!!!
Star's whole body flinched in shock as the bell rang through the school, she got to watch as everyone grabbed their stuff and shuffled off to lunch. Star didn't feel like eating today.. she felt like she didn't deserve it.. or.. something like that? Maybe it was all the fear and stress causing her to lose her appetite.
After everyone had left for lunch... everything went quiet.. but even with her headphones on, Star could still hear her teacher stand up and walk over to her, she looked up at the towering man..
"Star.. aren't you going to get lunch?" Mr.B stood menacingly above her.. but he almost sounded concerned.. almost..
"N-..no.. I'm not hungry..." Star's soft whimpering voice was almost non existent as she picked more at her stitching.
"Stop that. You'll hurt yourself." Mr.B cut her off by handing her a fidget. "You've already caused yourself to bleed.."
The moment Star heard that.. she could feel it.. ew.. ew ew ew.. it felt so gross.. the way the fabric and stuffing was just slightly wet made her want to vomit.... The small red stain that had been forming from all the picking made her feel.. sick.
"O-.oh.. yeah.. could I have a bandage..?" She hesitantly looked up at her teacher, fiddling with the fidget she had been given.
"Sure." Her teacher turned to his cabinet and started to shuffle through medical supplies, before tossing her a small bandage. Just to cover up the soft red stain that had formed..
Star immediately stuck the bandage on-top of the red splotch.. it made her feel trashy.. she already looked like absolute shit.. bags under her eyes.. messed up stitching.. she looked like filth.. and god she felt like it to.
All she wanted was to just go somewhere quiet.. and non stressful.. and her maths class is one of the most stressful places she's ever been in... no matter the circumstances...
She could almost feel herself disassociating.. just staring at the same walls and posters over and over again made her dizzy and sick in the worst was possible... god she just wanted this day to end... she would do anything to get out of three whole days worth of this torture...
