"eun ah! its time for bed!" i called for my daughter who was still wide awake, playing with her toys in her room. "3 more minutes mommy!" i heard her yell back.

she always does this. "fine, but i want you tucked in bed in exactly 3 minutes." i firmly said as i continued making my tea. i put the tea bag in my mug, and poured the hot water. adding in milk and sugar as i hated tea by itself.

i stirred my tea slowly, letting the sugar melt. i took a sip and looked at the time. it had been exactly 3 minutes. i made my way into jangeun's room, only to see her still playing with her dolls. "eun ah, what did i say?" i looked at her as she looked back at me.

"okay, okay." she sighed and began picking up her toys and putting them back into their respective places. she really was a threenager. she crawled into bed and i sat down beside her, tucking her in.

"mommy can i have a bedtime story?" she asked. "no baby, its so late." i replied, stroking her hair. "pleaseeee~! i wanna hear your love story with daddy again!" she pleaded. hesitantly, i got into bed and tucked myself in with her. she rested on my arm and we cuddled with eachother.

"it was 7 years ago."

FLASHBACK, 7 years ago.

"haeri ah! are you coming to the arcade later?" my best friend yeeun ran up to me as i walked down the hallway. "probably not, im going to the library to study." i replied. yeeun and i were polar opposites, she was a party girl who didnt care about school or anything for that matter. she was outgoing and nothing scared her.

i was the quiet introvert in class who always had her head in the books. but you know what they say, opposites attract. "aishh, the library again? you already ditched me yesterday! come on haeri!" she pleaded.

yeeun was very persuasive, but then again, how could i say no to her? shes my light, my pillar. she was the only one who stood by me when everything fell apart. "fine, fine." i gave in. "niceeu! ill tell the guys."  she smiled widely. the guys, beomgyu and taehyun. they were apart of our friend group.

of course, yeeun was the one who got us altogether. if it wasnt for her, i wouldnt have any friends. and im thankful for that.

when the school bell rang, yeeun immediately ran up to me and interlinked our arms. "come on! lets go, the guys are waiting for us outside." she chimed.

she ran out the school gates, dragging me. "yah slow down! the arcade isnt going anywhere!" i yelled. she simply laughed and we finally got to the busstop infront of our school. "hey guys!" "hey girls." taehyun smiled warmly.

"oh? youre joining us this time, ri? thats a surprise, i was starting to think the library was holding you hostage." beomgyu teased. "very funny, gyu." all of them chuckled and we got on the bus.

we arrived at the arcade and headed inside. "yah taehyun wanna battle me?" yeeun asked. both of them were super competitive. "youre on." the 2 rushed over to the shooting game as me and beomgyu shook our heads.

we went over and took a seat near the game they were playing. the 2 were cussing and yelling at eachother as me and beomgyu laughed our asses off. "loser!!" taehyun stuck his tongue out at yeeun. "fuck! you cheater! i want a rematch!" she responded.

"hey, dont hate the player, hate the game." taehyun winked. "whatever." yeeun rolled her eyes. "hey, ri, isnt that your brother over there?" yeeun said, pointing to the other side of the arcade. i peaked over and it was indeed my older brother.

"hes coming over here, and hot damn his friends are lookin extra hot today." yeeun started fanning herself and i rolled my eyes. "hey, kiddo. since when did you come to arcades?" my brother asked as him and his friends approached me.

"hey oppa. i was dragged here." i gave a death glare to yeeun. "hi, heeseung oppa." yeeun shyly said. "hey, yeeun." my brother replied. lee heseung, my older brother and legal guardian. him and his friends were very close to me, they all treated me like their little sister.

"hey haeri!" sunoo smiled brightly. "hey, sunoo oppa." i smiled. we had all been very close, but there was a new face among them.

he had black hair, cat eyes and dimples deeper than the ocean. "oh, this is jungwon. ni-ki's friend. he just moved here." my brother introduced.

"hey, nice to meet you." he greeted with a smile, putting his hand out. "hi, im haeri. nice to meet you too." i smiled back and shook his hand. "i guess I'll be seeing you around a lot." he winked playfully.
