HOPE SINKS UNDER THE ocean water, the moon shining above along the stars. She thought it would be a good idea to take a night swim when she couldn't stop thinking about the brunette she crashed into. It was now midnight and that girl was still on her mind.

"Hope?" A croaked voice called out. Hope turned her head towards a figure standing by the shore. "It's midnight, sweetheart. Why are you swimming?" Taylor. "Just thinking about home." She lies right through her teeth. Taylor would call her completely insane for thinking about a girl she met only a few hours ago. She didn't even get her name because she was in such a rush.

"Oh, sweetie. Come in, it's getting cold out. I don't want you to get sick." Thankfully, Taylor had towels with her. Hope had been in such a rush to swim that she forgot her towels. She walked slowly out of the ocean, reaching for the long towel Taylor was giving to her. It was then that she realized how cold it actually was. They walked together into the beach house, Hope shivering in Taylor's arms.

Taylor walked up to Hope's room, looking for warm clothes in the girl's full closet. She reached for a tank top and thin sweats. Hope takes the clothes and changes out of her swimsuit. Once she's changed and into the covers, Taylor walks over to sit beside her.

She runs her fingers through Hope's semi wet hair. "I'm so proud of you, sweetheart." She leans forward to press a kiss onto Hope's forehead. "Thank you, mommy. I'm proud of you, too." Hope knows Taylor likes to hear that from her once in a while. Hearing it from the girl she gave everything for was better than hearing it from anyone else.

"Now go to sleep, okay?" She sniffles. Hope frowns. "Stay with me, I don't want you to go." Even through the darkness of her room, Hope could see her mom clearly. Taylor nodded, uncovering Hope so she could get under the covers. They hugged close for the rest of the night till both of them fell into a deep slumber.

HOPE'S ALARM BLARED THROUGH the entire house. Taylor jumped from her sleep to look over at Hope who was still peacefully sleeping. At least she didn't have to wonder how Hope appeared late to school almost everyday. "Hope, sweetheart." She shook the young blonde up once she turned off the loud alarm.

"Mmmm!" Hope moaned as she turned her body to the other side. "So I'm assuming you don't want a job at the flower shop?" Hope jumps off the bed and into the bathroom to take a shower which makes Taylor giggle. "I'll go make breakfast!"

Hope wanted nothing more than this job. Sure the idea of rude customers and waking up early in the morning haunted her but it's nothing like high school. Rude classmates, even ruder teachers, and endless homework. She also had to wake up early in the morning to catch the school bus.

As she showered with steaming hot water, she couldn't get the brunette out of her mind. Her laugh was the melody stuck in her head, her face was the painting hung in her mind. She wondered about her. If her knee was okay, if she knew who she was when she crashed into her, if she liked flowers.

The girl smells like walking through a garden at night. The fresh air, the peace, and the welcoming smell of flowers. Not sweet, but fresh and quiet. She liked that about her.

Soon enough, Hope was done with her shower and looking through her closet. She chose a pink floral dress, which was perfect for the occasion, and a pair of open toe sandals. She left the shoes for later since her mom didn't like shoes inside the house. She walked downstairs and inhaled the smell of fresh chocolate chip pancakes. She walked into the kitchen and smiled.

There stood her aunt Selena along with her mom making chocolate chip pancakes. "Aunt Selena!" Selena turns her head and gasps. She runs up to Hope, pulling her into a tight hug. "You look beautiful, Hope!" She complimented.
