As we walk downstairs to the meeting room, Quincy spoke
"Do you think they still hate us?" he asked i sighed "no shit sherlock"
We sat down, wated a few minutes... Then finally, they entered
They sat down, putting the briefcases beside them . The atmosphere tense and thick, so thick i almost couldn't breathe
"... How've you been?" Quincy asks
"We told you several times, we. Do. Not. want. To. Be. Involved!!" Kian said a bit angrily
"... we did so much for you in the pas-" "that was when you weren't in the mafia!!" Kian cuts quincy off... Eh, he's always been a shitty guy
Quincy frowned "we have our own lives, all high in society, all rich and powerful etc. But, once the police finds out WE have been helping mafia bosses, funding them helping them HIDE, our life's work? Poof! Gone!" James said a bit dramatically
"Nobody will know, nor find out" i start out
"the only way for someone to find out is if someone decides to betray us, or, if someone sees" i said
"So, please, calm down" i added with an exasperated sigh
"... Whatever" James said sighing
"... still, we are... Sorry for dragging you into this" Quincy said
"Once he finds out we helped you, he wont stop until we are involved" Skylar said "We have a life ahead of us and we dont wanna spend that in prison" he adds on
"... How is your... Love lives?" Yakumo asks
"Quite good, i found myself a neko, james an elf, and alex a fox" William said rolling my eyes
Yakumo frowned "Still shitty i see" he said
"Still fatherless i see' William mutter, immediately, He shot up, his teeth gritted and his pale face red in anger "You dont know what happened!! You werent there!!" He yelled "So sensitive huh?" William asks smirking
"Yakumo sit down!!" i said, putting my hand on his shoulder and pulling him back on his seat, Yakumo growled and sat down "We've all been through similar things, almost all of us dont have parents and its by the contract that-" "that you forcefully made us sign" Kian cut me off
I frowned, what a jackass!! "its by the contract that we either treat each other like family, or kill each other in hatred and end our reputations" i said holding back my anger
"... sorry" William said sighing
"... How's mark?" Kian asks
"Pretty good, better than when you all last saw him, but not worse than the first time" I said
They nodded
"... Remember what i said the first time we met, you supply us with money, we supply you with protection, we all know the reason your alive now is because of us" Quincy said "... The only reason you have armory still is because of us, dont be cocky" William muttered and got up
"We better go" I said, the others got up "thanks again" Quincy said before we left
We groaned as the atmosphere eased up
