Definitions:


Antigens are substances, such as foreign substances-bacteria and viruses are a few listed foreign substances-and substances developed inside the body, that lead to the production of antibodies.


Antibodies are proteins that are produced by your Immune System as a result of discovering substances that could cause potential damage to your body's systems (a.k.a antigens).

Blood type A has: A antigens and anti-B antibodies.


Blood type B has: B antigens and anti-A antibodies.


Blood type AB has: A and B antigens, however, it does not have any antibodies.


Blood type O has: anti-A and anti-B antibodies, yet it does not have any antigens.
