The next morning came too soon as Starry woke up to her alarm going off. She tapped the button on her DDD to turn it off and got out of bed. Starry decided to simply put on a pair of sweatpants and a tank top before doing her morning routine. As she made her way to the dining room she could hear the brothers chatting while they ate. She decided to sit in between Mammon and Beelzebub at the table, refusing to look at Lucifer. Mammon handed her a plate of food which she shared with Beel as she drank her coffee. Lucifer glared over at Starry as she sat between Mammon and Beel. His eyebrow twitched slightly as she refused to even look his way. He couldn't believe her audacity after everything he told her last night. He knew that she was only trying to get under his skin and he was determined not to let her. After breakfast, everyone went their separate ways except for Starry who stayed seated at the table with Lucifer. He waited until the others left before clearing his throat. "A word. My office." He stood up from his chair and headed down the hallway towards the staircase that led to the upper floors. When she didn't follow right away he stopped and turned back to face her. "Now. This isn't a suggestion Starry."
Starry sighed heavily as she stood up from the table and slid her chair in. "Yeah yeah, I'm coming." She grumbled and started to follow him up the stairs. The pair walk in silence with the tension thick in between them. Lucifer holds the door open for her and motions for her to sit down. She takes a seat and crosses her arms as Lucifer sits down at his desk. "As I said yesterday this is not the first time you've done something stupid. However, you have crossed a line with what happened last night. It is unacceptable and if I find out you've gone out without one of my brothers accompanying you I'll have you locked in the attic." He warned as he leaned back in his chair. "This has gone beyond just being stubborn or a smartass at this point Starry. You're deliberately trying to push my buttons and I don't appreciate it." He stated firmly while staring at her intently. "Now if we're done here then please leave. I have work to do." Starry scoffed and rolled her eyes as she stood up from the chair and stormed out of the study. She was livid about Lucifer treating her like a child whenever she was a grown ass woman. It's nice that he's concerned for her safety but it's all for Diavolo and his program. Lucifer didn't actually care about her, he cared about his image. It would look horrible on him if their human exchange student got hurt during the program. She shook her head at the thought and decided to go to town for a while. At least since it was morning the streets would be more busy and there will be more people around. She bribed Beel into going with her so she didn't have to worry about Lucifer bitching again. After texting the avatar of gluttony she got dressed for the day in a black sundress. She met Beel at the front door of the house and the two left to head into the Devildom.
Lucifer let out a sigh as Starry walked out of the room and slammed the door. He couldn't understand why she was always so difficult when it came to him. She was just like his brothers and it drove him crazy. The amount of headaches that she gave him on a daily basis was almost enough to send him over the edge. He rubbed his temples as he felt a headache starting to come on. He decided that it was best if he took a break and went downstairs for a cup of coffee. As he stepped into the kitchen he noticed Mammon and Asmodeus sitting at the table eating breakfast together. "Good morning guys." He greeted as he walked over to the counter where the coffee pot sat full of freshly brewed coffee. He poured himself a cup before joining them at the table. "So I take it Starry is outta her room now?" Mammon asked after swallowing the food in his mouth. "Yeah, she just left for town with Beel a few minutes ago." Asmo chimed making Lucifer pause for a moment. He didn't know she left, she at least usually texts him when she's leaving to go shopping. He checked his phone to make sure and saw there was no new messages waiting for him from her. He felt a sense of dread wash over him as he thought back to the events of last night with those demons surrounding her. What if something happens to her? She was stubborn but he still didn't want to see any harm come to her. He excused himself from the table and rushed out of the kitchen to the front door. He searched until he finally spotted her walking beside Beel in town. Relief flooded him as he hid in the shadows nearby to watch from afar. This wasn't the first time he had done this and it probably wouldn't be the last. He couldn't help himself when it came to her and he usually followed and watched over her.
