The Outskirts of Bernadette

I sat outside of my kingdoms walls, embracing the morning sun on my skin and watching the deer eat the grain I brought out with me. The water flowing from the stream nearby glistened in the sunlight, enhancing the beauty of the area around me. I stood to my feet, my black boots covered slightly in water from morning dew that moved slightly as I stood. I dusted my leggings off along with my commoner attire. I enjoyed it more to the fabrics of royal attire as it was all so tiring to wear. I put my hair up with some magic as I don't care to use magic here and there. As the deer ate calmly, watching me cautiously but not too much as we've interacted before. I walked the opposing direction to the deer and pushed aside the bushes and leaves as I walked.

I came to a tiny clearing where I grew magically plants and items for potions or just magical capabilities that allows those without magic who don't want to spend hours studying the same tome about how to levitate a cup, can instead have a crystal and use its magic. I picked and pulled what was ready. I put what I could in my pockets and placed the rest in a piled of leafs. I then tied the leaves with hanging vines and ties them around my waist. I turned back from where I came and left the clearing. I walked along the castle walls feeling them as I walked, they were tall and cobbled, beaming with magic resistant stone. I looked beyond on the opposite side and watched the barrier around the kingdom shimmer. It was visible only to those within the kingdom and was a bedazzling sight as the sun shined through it.

I left the wall approaching the barrier, I can go in and out as I please, as can the people of Bernadette, if born in Bernadette. If they came to Bernadette by other means they can only return via specific crystals. After leaving they will start being unable to remember Bernadette until the reach a distance of Bernadette. If they forget Bernadette their crystals will no longer have the power to return them to Bernadette. It is how I protect those within my barriers and wall, it is how I keep them safe, however this does not apply to me as I created the crystals and barrier. I touched the barrier and it parted for me. I stepped through and embraced the sunlight not hindered by the ever dulling barrier.

I walked out a decent distance and watched the wind blow the leaves slightly. I continued out beyond the barrier. I looked up a ways and saw a hill. I walked up it as I've done for quite the years and sat a top it watching the sun shine and rise more stating the day was starting. A smiled crept on my face. I noticed something in the air around me that seemed off however. I looked around the area but nothing was out of place. I noticed the air seemed different but couldn't place my finger on it. I noticed a large amount of magic started to fill the air and I grew more concerned as it filled. I then noticed a portal open close to me and a group of people being pushed through. Once they reached the other side they fell in front of me and were unconscious.  In a panic I teleported them and I far from my kingdom, on the outskirts of a kingdom call Lespir.

I stared at them for a moment and started to figure out what to do. Can I trust them? Can I bring them to my kingdom? Would it be safe? I stared at them for a moment longer then debated a plan. I put a temporary sleep spell on them as I devised my plan. If I can put on a facade, if I act as though I found them outside my home and trained them in fighting and magic, they could betray me but I'd be able to identify if I can trust them around my kingdom. I can fake it all, they would surely be upset... I'll have to think of another way or adjust my original plan. What to do.
