I was busy in the sword arena, when the king called for me.
Sighing, I put the swords back and went inside the royal court where the king was seated on the throne. The court was empty and the only people there were the king's top guards and the Queen. The king was aged, but hefty and built like a rock. He looked straight at me and I went down on my knees.
" Father, you called for me?", I said slowly rising.
"Yes, Wooyoung. You're already twenty-two, so we figured that it's time.", he said with a warm look in his eyes.
I looked at my mom with a questioning look, the Queen, but she just smiled apologetically.
"It's time for help with the expansion of the kingdom. The kingdom in the West is really powerful and has not declared war yet, because we are on friendly terms. But if they do, we will have to go through a sickening war. So to avoid that, we will need them on our side.", he said slowly.
I already knew about Exrelia. So, why was my father telling me all this now?
" I don't get what you mean by that, father." Even though he was my father, he was the king too. And I was deadly afraid of him.
" I mean that, your mother and I have decided that you will help with the kingdom expansion by matrimonial alliances. We were thinking of you getting married with Choi Dahyun, the Princess of Exrelia.
I stared at my parents with surprise before yelling, "What?!".
