Eva never really watched TV or movies for that matter. The boys kept their TV in a cabinet, and she honestly didn't even know it was there until tonight.
It was very interesting. With a push of a button, the TV rose up like some kind of magic. The movie was bright and colorful, like drawings in a children's book. She was captivated.
She had changed into pajamas, covered in a warm blanket and laying across Miles whose fingers ran through her hair. Her eyes were getting heavier and heavier by the minute, but she didn't want to miss out on the ending.
"We can finish it tomorrow," Miles whispered. "Close your eyes, Evie."
"I'm not tired," she insisted.
He chuckled, leaning down to kiss the side of her face.
"No?" he teased. "Are you sure?"
She nodded, moving her head so their lips met. He coaxed her to sit up so she wasn't twisting her neck, leaving her in quite a compromised position with her straddling his lap.
She liked being so close to him. It felt nice, and her whole body felt warm as she let her hands rest on his chest as she continued to chase his lips.
Her hips moved. It was almost a natural progression that she didn't have to think very much about.
Miles made a gentle noise, pulling away from her slightly.
"Let's slow down, sunshine," he whispered. "There's no rush."
Eva was flushed. She could feel it all over her body, and it got worse when she realized she had the unwavering attention of Graham and Pierce.
"I liked it," she admitted quietly.
"Do you know what was happening, Eva?" Graham asked. He was very serious with the question, especially when he called her by her name like that.
She knew about sex. She only knew about the crude, horrific version of things that were said as disgusting comments to her or others around her. Her knowledge was very limited.
She never thought of it as something she would ever consider doing, but if Miles wanted to keep going right now, she would be okay with it. It was the fact that sex would change their relationship that bothered her the most.
"Not very much," she answered. "Only the basic idea."
"Did what we just do bother you?" Miles asked.
"No," she said honestly. "I liked it. I wouldn't have minded if we kept going."
The three of them didn't look convinced. Eva knew she was going to have to open up a little bit more, and she took a deep breath to gather her thoughts.
"I was never raped," Eva admitted. "I'm very lucky in that way. I know others weren't so lucky. What I know about sex is only what people would say when they made gross comments."
"Thank you for telling us," Pierce said. "We would never want to put you in any situation that could be harmful."
"I know that," she nodded. "The way you treat me is why this felt good."
"It can feel better," Miles teased, lightening the mood with his bright, teasing smile.
"Would you show me?" she asked, as bravely as she could manage, though it still sounded quiet to her own ears.
Miles looked taken aback by the question, and Eva leaned up to kiss the corner of his mouth.
Miles looked at Graham who nodded his head.
