They had been driving for a few minutes, "Okay, I'll ask... Who's Kate Argent?" Malia asked breaking the silence, "Uh, I'd like to know, too." Kira said
"Well, we were at her funeral, so I'd like to know how she got out of a casket that was buried six feet underground." Stiles said, "She was never in it." Scott said
"She was my sociopathic mother." Izzy said, "You guys don't have to talk about it now if you don't want to." Kira said noticing Izzy playing with her daylight ring.

"Okay, my mom was the one who set the fire that killed most of my family on my dads side. Cora, Peter, and obviously my dad survived." Izzy paused before adding, "and my aunt Laura before Peter killed her."
"A very angry Peter." Lydia said "Yeah, he's the one who bit and turned me." Scott said, "And the one who finally caught up to my mom and killed her. And then tried to kill me." Izzy said remembering the night her mom died
"Hold on, so your mom comes to Beacon Hills, has sex with your dad and conceives you, then tries to kill him, fails, and then comes back years later with you, and then dies because your uncle killed her?" Malia asked
"Pretty much." Izzy nodded "You have a messed up family." Malia said "Pretty much. You're lucky you're not part of it." Izzy laughed a little
The rest of them all share a look. They were going to tell Izzy about malia being Peter daughter and her cousin after they dealt with the nogitsune. But then Allison died and they didn't want to spring a new cousin on her when she had just lost one.
