Mad About You/ two

On the way to school Ozzy thought deeply about Billy kissing her cheek. She couldn't quite place why he did it and constantly deflecting the idea of him liking her. 'There's no way he likes me' she thought. Soon enough though her father pulled up at Woodsboro High, "Have a good day sweetheart." Ozzy nodded and waved goodbye to him. Once she shut the car door, . She inhaled the cool autumn air, yet another day at school. Ozzy was dressed in her punk attire as always and carried a studded purse. As she made her way around campus news vans and reporters were scattered all around. A reporter she noticed almost instantly was Gale Weathers, she was in the works of a book about the savage murder of Sidney's mother last year. Sidney and Tatum didn't like Gale very much because of it but Ozzy didn't have much of an opinion on Gale.

As Ozzy neared the main doors, she was stopped by her best friend, Astrid Wade. "Hey Oz'!" Ozzy pulled her into an embrace "Hey Astrid, how was your weekend?" "Exhausting as always. Mom makes me practice 24/7" Ozzy sighed, "god when will that woman give you a break. You're already the best on the team in front of me." Ozzy walked along with Astrid into the crowded halls of Woodsboro High while maintaining conversation. Astrid shrugs, "I know, how was your weekend? Were you visited by your favorite grease bucket again?" Whenever Astrid said 'grease bucket' it automatically meant she was referring to Billy because of how his hair looked. Greasy. Of course Ozzy didn't think so. "Maybe.." Ozzy said giggling sort of. "Girl, come on. I told you to steer clear of him. He's an obvious player. He flirts with you while he's dating Sidney." Astrid said sounding almost disappointed. "Astrid he's not that bad of a guy, I swear. I know what the rumors say but you know, they're rumors for a reason. Just bullshit stories made by half of this forgettable student body." Ozzy replied

Astrid nods, "Whatever you say, Oz, but have you heard the news?" Ozzy soon reached her locker and began opening it. "what news?" Ozzy asked tilting her head a bit. "You haven't heard yet? I'm surprised, you're normally on top of all the talk around the school. Anyway, two students from our school were murdered last night." Astrid's voice was somber but also sounded as if she was in disbelief. Ozzy's eyes widened as the information sunk in. "Murdered? Who?" was all she could get out before her mind started racing around in circles. "Casey Becker and Steve Orth." Astrid replied. Ozzy didn't know how to feel about this, her and Casey weren't friends anymore but the loss of her life made Ozzy's heart ache. Ozzy really didn't know what to say. "You ok, Oz? I know you two used to be as thick as thieves.." Ozzy soon picked herself up out of her pit of despair and was able to respond, "I'm fine." Astrid gave Ozzy an unsure look, "Ya sure?" Ozzy nodded in response. Ozzy soon grabbed her English book out of her locker and shut it soon after. "So I'll see you after lunch?" Astrid asked softly. Ozzy nodded with a smiles on her face, Of course." Astrid nodded as well and pulled Ozzy into a quick embrace before waving goodbye.

As Ozzy made her way to English class she thought deeply about what Astrid said. Casey shared English class with her and Sidney, now she's gone. It's not like she even spoke to her much but it was still incredibly surreal for Ozzy to ponder about. Once Ozzy made it to English class she gave the teacher a nod and took her seat next to Sidney. "Hey Sid." Ozzy greeted her brunette friend softly. "Hey Ozzy, I'm sure you've heard the news." Sidney replied. Ozzy nodded, "yeah, about Casey.." Ozzy stared off into space for a bit, lost in her thoughts. As Ozzy was stuck in her head, she was suddenly interrupted by the teacher calling her name. "Miss Ozzy, it would appear to be your turn." Ozzy tilted her head in confusion, "My turn for what?" Ozzy asked quizzically. "The principal is calling every student out of class individually or a few questions with the police." Ozzy nodded as she slowly stood up from her seat. "Just head to Principal Himbry's office." The teacher added. Ozzy nodded once more and made her way straight to Himbry's office. In there she saw Principal Himbry, Sheriff Burke and Dewy. Dewy was Tatum's older brother who treated Ozzy like she was part of the family. "Hi Ozzy." Sheriff Burke greeted as Ozzy walked into Himbry's office. Ozzy nodded in response, "Sheriff Burke, Dewy." Dewy clicked a pen open, "That's deputy Riley today, Oz." Ozzy nodded once again. Tatum had told Ozzy, Dewy has a major insecurity about not being taken seriously by his chief and the rest of his police force. Ozzy understood and respected it. "Were gonna keep this very brief Ozzy, the police just want to ask you a few questions. Is that ok with you?" Himbry asked in a soft tone. Ozzy nodded once more. "Ozzy were you close with Casey Becker?" Sheriff burke inquired. "We were, a long time ago. Once high school started we kind of fell off.." Ozzy replied softly. Dewy nodded at Sheriff Burke. "Well Ozzy, you're free to head back to class." Dewy spoke up from behind his clipboard. "really?" Ozzy asked sort of surprised. Dewy nodded with a smile on his face. Ozzy then stood up and left Himbry's office making her way back to class.

After the police interrogation the day felt like it flew by because it was now lunch. As always Ozzy sat with her closest friends by the fountain. Ozzy sat next to Billy and ate some strawberries from a glass container. "What kind of questions did they ask you Ozzy?" Tatum questioned looking over at Ozzy. "They asked me if I was close with Casey." Ozzy answered. Stu looked over at Billy, "Hey, they ask if you like to hunt?" Billy nodded, "Yeah, they did. They ask you?" Randy nodded as well, "yeah." Billy then turned to Ozzy as she was still eating her strawberries. "what?" Ozzy raised an eyebrow at him. Billy smiled at this, "May I have one?" Billy asked taking on a sweeter tone of voice. Ozzy snickered a bit but soon agreed. She then picked up a strawberry and fed it to him. Billy's eyes widened at this, but he was pleased- he didn't expect such a cute reaction from Ozzy. Billy smirked, "You know, you look cute when you feed me strawberries." Ozzy turned away, giggling softly, "Don't push your luck." Billy looked into her eyes, "Or what?" Billy questioned, "are you going to feed me more strawberries? If that's the case, I want more." Ozzy giggled once more, "my god, I cannot with you." Billy shrugged, "I'm just playing around," Billy teased, "but that doesn't stop the fact that you actually do look cute when you feed me strawberries." Ozzy shook her head a bit with a smile still plastered on her face, "well.. thank you for the compliment.." Billy nodded in response looking into Ozzy's eyes. Ozzy returned his look but their loving gazes were soon interrupted by Sidney's voice. "How do you gut someone?" Sidney asked softly. This simple but sort of alarming question got the attention of everyone in the clique. "You take a knife.. and you slit 'em from groin to sternum." Stu replied. Sidney sort of cringed at Stu's response. "My god.." Ozzy shook her head in disbelief at Stu's response. "Hey, it's called tact, you fuckrag" Billy remarked. Ozzy snickered a bit gaining a smile from Billy. "Hey Stu, didn't you use to date Casey?" Sidney asked turning to Stu. "Yeah, for like two seconds." Stu answered. "Before she dumped you for Steve." Randy chimed in. Tatum looked almost offended by this, "I though you dumped her for me." Stu turned to Tatum immediately, "I did. He's full of shit." As the others continued their back-and-forth, Ozzy found herself just observing the whole scene. It was fun to watch her friends joke around and rag on each other. Hanging out with her closest friends by this fountain was the highlight of her school day. "And are the police aware that you dated the victim?" Randy asked in a snarky voice. Stu shot Randy a face of distaste, "Hey, what are you saying? That I killed her?" Stu asked clearly bothered by Randy's comment. "It would certainly improve your high school 'Q'" Randy replied. Tatum shook her head at Randy's accusation, "Stu was with me last night, okay?" Stu agreed with Tatum stirring up another comment from Randy, "Ooh, was that before or after he sliced and diced?" Hearing this somewhat vulgar comment made Sidney look away a bit. Ozzy sort of understood the way she felt with her mom's death and all. "Fuck you, nutcase. Where were you last night?" Tatum snaps. "Working, thank you." Randy remarked back. Ozzy shook her head a bit. There was always constant tit for tat going on between Stu, Tatum and Randy. As the constant back and forth continued Ozzy zoned out for a brief moment. "Where were you last night, Ozzy?" Randy asks making the whole group turn to look at her. Ozzy looked up at them, "I was home watching a video." The group nodded. Billy soon spoke up, backing Ozzy up immediately. "She would never do something like that, even if her and Casey weren't friends anymore. She would never deliberately hurt someone." Everyone looks at Billy, and everyone is surprised by his comment as it goes against the typical banter between them all. There was a brief silence among the group before Stu initially broke it, "I didn't kill anybody." Billy looked over at Stu, "Nobody said you did." Stu smiled at his best friend for backing him up, "thanks buddy." As the conversation continues, Ozzy closed the container to her strawberries and put it into her backpack. Finally snapping back into the conversation, Stu and Randy were at it again. "Randy you goon-fuck I'm trying to eat here." Tatum scolded while swatting at Randy. "She's getting mad, all right? Better liver alone." Stu  remarked before laughing at his own joke. Stu's lame joke earned a groan from Ozzy and a slap from Billy. "Ow! Liver, Liver. It was a joke!" Stu said sounding semi-upset that no one liked his joke. Tatum shook her head at her boyfriend and Ozzy continued gathering up her things to head back to class.
