I walk through the tunnel until I reach the plane. My seat number is 15C.
I put my carry on, which is my guitar, into the compartment and take a seat. I sat on the right most seat in my row. Everyone is boarding the plane. Once it is all filled I realized that I had the whole row to myself. I brought my computer with me along with my phone and headphones.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the Captain has turned on the Fasten Seat Belt sign. If you haven't already done so, please stow your carry-on luggage underneath the seat in front of you or in an overhead bin. Please take your seat and fasten your seat belt. And also make sure your seat back and folding trays are in their full upright position.
At this time, we request that all mobile phones, pagers, radios and remote controlled toys be turned off for the full duration of the flight, as these items might interfere with the navigational and communication equipment on this aircraft. We request that all other electronic devices be turned off until we fly above 10,000 feet. We will notify you when it is safe to use such devices.
We remind you that this is a non-smoking flight. Smoking is prohibited on the entire aircraft, including the bathrooms. Tampering with, disabling or destroying the bathroom smoke detectors is prohibited by law.
If you have any questions about our flight today, please don't hesitate to ask one of our flight attendants. Thank you." She said.
I look around the plane. I see that the girl that was across from my mom and I is on the plane. I should talk to her but I don't know if it is the right time.
"We are now above 10,000 feet, you may use electronic devices. Please make sure that they are on airplane mode. You may also get up to and use the restroom and move seats."
I opened my laptop and I decided to write a journal about my trip.
Day 1- I have left home and my parents for the show in New York. There is this really pretty girl that is on my flight. I want to talk to her at some point. I'm really happy because I get the whole row to my self. I'm really exited to play in New York and perform for my fans. I'm also glad that no one on this flight recognizes me.
I wrote songs that I can't wait to perform. The flight is about 6 hours long and i'm kind of tired. But anyway i'll try to update this journal whenever I can.
~Shawn
I close my computer and put on my headphones. I listen to Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran. I love him so much, he is a big inspiration to me. I also love that song.
I unbuckle seat and move to the window. I take a picture of the clouds and the sky. I post it to my instagram. I'm not that good at captions so I just put "Headed to New York." I knew that this flight would take a while so I put my pillow against the window and decided to go to sleep.
*An Hour Later*
I wake up to my phone buzzing. It was my friend Cameron Dallas. We've been friends for a really long time and I would think of him as my brother.
"Hey, Shawn. I just want to say good luck on your New York show. I know that this is big for you! Love you man!"
"Thanks Cam, it really means a lot. Sorry that you couldn't make it"
"Yeah, with all of my scripts and photo shoots I barely have time to do anything anymore."
"I'll see you when I get back and we can hang out!"
"Sounds good to me. See ya bud!"
It was really nice of Cam to txt me. He is one of my very best friends. We are really busy most of the time so it good that we can talk and hang out whenever we can.
"There is a major thunderstorm in affect for the Montreal part of Canada. We will have to re-route. Please stand by."
I look out the window and its not looking to good..
