All Yin Yu could hear was the loud, heartbreaking cries of Quan Yizhen, it was disgusting, outrageous for the god to be crying, like it didn't need to be, it shouldn't be.

Yin Yu lived his life the best he could, trying his best to maintain what could be called productivity. Mostly for his sanity though. However, the constant turns of life and the overbearing remembrance of his days as a god stripped him of his motivation. The thoughts tore and thrashed at his heart, they begged for him to think, for at least a moment, about them.

Quan Yizhen? A god, yes. But not just a god to Yin Yu. They carried about ten, maybe a few more, years together before, in a sect together. Yizhen always looked up to Yin Yu, it was simple and sweet, innocent. Soon the adoration became soft obsession, Yin Yu becoming a god was like separating from him, and Yizhen would cry about it for days until his Shixiong came back from the heavenly court to visit.

It was simple, sweet. And then it wasn't. But then it was complicated, and gut wrenching. And then words that weren't meant flew out of the otherwise calm mans mouth. "Go die." And that was it before he blacked out, falling to the ground, that was when he felt his Shidis tears drop onto his face.

Then he felt something; arms holding him tightly, hauling him around. Then he felt nothing at all.

Numb. Yin Yu was numb from the excruciating pain he bottled just before. Or did he feel something? He couldn't tell before every small thought in his head and everything shut down.

"Shixiong!" He heard a voice yell after a while. He frowned deeply, which the voice seemed to pick up on that and called out again, quieter. "Shixiong? Can you hear me?"

Yin Yu winced at the sound, loud and echoing in his ears, it burned to hear the voice. So he instinctively ducked his head away, trying to steer the voice somewhere else. Except, it didn't work. Of course it didn't...

Suddenly, Yin Yu felt something wrap around his waist, it was briefly comforting before it became terrifying, wondering what was going on and why. Only to be pulled against something else, it moved, and...breathed? Oh.

He was being held against his Shidi, trying to be comforted. With all the love in the world, Yizhen squeezed softly, nuzzling into him. Yin Yu opened his mouth to protest, but only let out a croak. Yizhen seemed happy about this, because he let go immediately and turned Yin Yu around, grabbing his face.

Finally, Yin Yu opened his eyes, staring at the curly haired heap that he barely saw through. "Shixiong! You can see me okay, right?" He said, getting closer to his face before backing up. Yin Yu nodded reluctantly, blinking away ache in his eyes.

"Good! That's great!" It really wasn't, it really, truly, wasn't great. However, there was a,, cloudy part of his vision? Small corners he couldn't see out of, but it startled him nonetheless. Yizhen immediately moved to check if something was wrong.

"Shixiong, your eyes were probably messed up by all the smoke and dust or whatever." The curly heap of hair got closer to his face, signaling Yizhen's approach. "We need to clean out your eyes, it'll probably help." And with that, servants rushed to his side, crowding him without warning.

Yin Yu immediately jumped back, confused and startled. For a moment, he liked when it was just Yizhen near, but then again, he didn't. "Shixiong?" That sweet voice called again, it made his skin crawl.

It was uncomfortable for a moment, then it wasn't. He scrunched up his face in anger as people poured water into his eyes, it was such a strange feeling, he hated it. Once his idiot shidi realized his discomfort the water stopped pouring. What a relief Yin Yu thought because he couldn't speak.

If Chengzhu sees me like this I swear... He opened his eyes again, he still could barely see, blurs of colors were everywhere but he could only make out shapes sometimes. It was impeccably annoying..

After Yin Yu sat up, he heard the scampers of the servants running out of the room before Yizhen started towards him. "Shixiong, did that make it better?" The gods voice questioned softly, it made him shiver with discomfort and he almost forgot to shake his head no to him.

After a few moments of silence he felt what he could only guess was arms, slithering around his waist. "Shixiong, I really missed you, it's not fair that I never get to see you.." Yin Yu stiffened at that, it was the most effective way to get him off. "I missed you a whole lot, you have no idea..." he continued to whisper on about how Yin Yu wouldn't talk to him as much.

A day later, I know. Crazy how he still has me in this stupid position. I would leave but I can't see how that would help. I'm sure not being able to see as well is going to get me in deep trouble, and if I can't see I can't get back to work easily. I can't believe Chengzhu let this man baby take care of MY soul... Atleast I know Chengzhu is alright, I wonder how His Highness is at the moment...

Yin Yu was ruthlessly ripped out of his thoughts by who he dreaded most, but he couldn't do anything but struggle against the fork with a piece of food at his lips.

"Shixiong! You have to eat, please!" Yizhen cried out, pressing the fork closer to Yin Yu's mouth. "You didn't eat yesterday, or today! Please just eat even this little bite..." That pleading voice made something in Yin Yu crack and he opened his mouth with a sigh, chewing the meat on the fork.

He heard a gasp before getting a squeezing hug. A hug he didn't particularly want, but also didn't wish to resist, so he just fell limp and blinked rapidly, hoping that would finally clear his finish so he could leave and stop depending on that idiot for everything.

He let out a croak of dismay, still getting used to speaking, through throughout the night he first awoke he croaked until his throat was hoarse in attempts to speak.

Quan Yizhen just slightly loosened his grasp, still holding Yin Yu firmly.

"Let.." was all the calm man could manage to muster up before his throat closed up.
