"Phones sure are handy," I thought to myself while browsing Google. unlimited information at your fingertips anytime anywhere, it truly shows how intelligent and resourceful humans can be when they put their minds to it.
"These people, on the other hand..." I curiously watched as the fight between the two men broke out. The people around the parking lot took out their phones to record
From what I've heard, one of the men slept with the other man's wife...
This confused me... if you're unsatisfied with your current partner, why not just leave?... mhm maybe the wife got a... "Kick" out of it? They do say that the forbidden fruit was always sweetest.
Nonetheless, I ignored the situation in favor of focusing on my objective, the thing that could make or break my time in this society...
A haircut.
It's the final component of my disguise. I already have a set of pure black-eye contacts. Along with glasses(without lenses, of course), I also have some black hair dye ready to be applied to my eyebrows after the haircut.
Walking into the barber shop, I was greeted with a small but comfy white-tiled room. With a couple of soft-looking chairs in the middle of it. And a small sitting area and sofa, presumably for waiting customers.
In the middle of the room, a mature elderly woman was cleaning off what I assumed to be clumps of hair.
Seeing me, the woman smiled, a kind smile one that reminded me of Matsuo. She had an aura to her. a mothering one, you could say, I wouldn't be surprised if she had kids.
"Hello there, go right ahead and make yourself comfortable. I'll be with you in just a minute." She said her tone, warm and soothing as she gestured to one of the chairs.
Hanging up the jacket Matsuo gave me, I sat down and waited while she went into the back of the shop, doing god knows what I guess.
Grabbing one of the magazines, I was greeted with pictures of different men and women with varying haircuts and styles.
Approximately 2 minutes later, she returned, grabbing her tools she walked up behind me and inspected my hair. "So young man. Tell me, what is it that you would like?" she inquired
Feeling my throat start to tighten up, I let out a sigh as I reluctantly asked for my haircut
"bald... Shave everything."

Hesitation and apprehension were written all over her face as she reluctantly accepted the money. "Uh.. thank you, and good day to you," she said awkwardly.
"Thank you and you too," I responded as I put on my jacket and left the shop feeling relieved that it was over,
I felt a shiver suddenly shoot up my spine as the cold breeze of the night hit me. "This... feels weird," I muttered to myself.
Being bald felt as though I was walking around naked. It's a weird sensation one that someone wouldn't be able to understand without ever having experienced it.
Nonetheless, it was just a sensation that I would have to get used to, I guess.

Now that, however, was something I highly doubt I'll ever get used to... With a deep sigh, I sat down on a bench and waited for the screen to boot up again.
It was probably smarter for me to work on escaping and figuring out a way to leave the country... but I can't deny myself this opportunity to see the future.
