Feelings ( Series )

The Feelings Series is about these kids in a future government that are created to control the public using their control over their and others' emotions. They were each given a specific one to control. They were each purposely breed for (meaning the government chose which partners to be their parents) and each were meant to breed with either another positive or negative emotion. (They gave them two to 1. give them a choice and 2. see which they would pick.) This series revolves around these children and how some of them escaped the government (for multiple reasons), and below there will be a chart to show the different children there are and details about them. (Such as which other emotions they are supposed to breed with, their ages in the story, and the name the government and scientists gave them.)

Report on Project Feelings:

Hope: The female we have selected to act as the feeling of hope is a genius, like the other projects, but has a natural sense of happiness to her that makes the others love her. This is interesting in the sense that Joy also has this ability, but she is not loved by everyone like Hope is. A factor of her ability may come from her being the youngest, and it probably is one. The girl's project name is Hestia, since she is the Greek goddess of the home and heart. Both of the girl's mates, good and bad, seem to have taken a liking to her. Our researchers predict that Love will end of being her partner but this is not certain. Fear by nature wants people to fear him and wants power, this causes him to want to make Hope choose him despite the age difference.

Joy: This female is extremely positive and has a natural sense of happiness. She is loved as a sister by Hope and is liked by many of the group. Project name is Athena because she is remarkably smart for her age and Athena was known as one of the calmer goddesses. She has chosen Rage as her partner, though she is close to Pride.

Fear: This male has taken his emotion differently than Hope and Joy has. Instead of feeling fear, he likes to create it. This makes him a powerful emotion. Our scientist say he hates life here, even if he has had no escape attempts. They also say he shows kindness to one of his partners, Hope. This, they say, is unusual because it seems he has pick his other partner, Jealousy, and he does show her as much kindness as Hope. He is in what seems like a competition with Pride for the most supporters. His supports are Jealousy, Sadness, and Peace. His project name is Hades because the god of the underworld usually inspired fear.

Rage: The male is triggered by almost anything if it has to do with Joy. We believe that this could be easily used against him and will make sure to do that when the time comes. He is also triggered by Hope too. He tries to protect both of these girls the best he can. We believe that Pride is also one of his closer friends, though he doesn't seem to like the partner he has chosen, which is Pain. This surprises us because we excepted Rage to hate the negative partner to Joy he has chosen her over his other partner. Rage behaves very differently when he is calm then when he is using his power. This is why he prefers to not be tested every week so he can stay in his calm form.

Pride: This male has taken a liking to most of the other children in this project. He seems to most like Pain, Joy, and Hope the most, though. Him and Fear seem to almost have a competition between them with how many people support them. Pride's main supporters are Pain, Joy, Rage, and Hope. He seen as almost a older brother to Joy and Hope. He expresses great distress when either them or his chosen partner, Pain, are put in harmful situations.

Love: This male is a friend to almost of the other children in the project. He has always taken a liking to Joy and Hope especially. He greatly wishes to be partners with Hope, though the girl does not want him or her other possible partner, Pain. He does not seem to participate in the 'competition' and seems to lead the ones that are neutral in the situation. These people include Hate and Honesty. Our scientist believe that Love will be chosen by Hope in the next year or so.

Jealousy: The female has taken a liking to Fear and we believe she is actually attracted to Fear because she envies the power he holds, not because she actually likes him. She mostly follows Fear and doesn't ever have original ideas, opinions, or thoughts. This is actually what we wanted and expected to happen to this particular emotion. We are happy with the results of this particular female emotion.

Pain: This child has reacted well, doing exactly as she is told and choosing the partner we thought she would. She seems to have developed the theory that all pain is bad pain and never wants to be in it. We believe that this has happened due to the weekly testings and the fact if she doesn't cause pain to others, it will just make her feel pain. Although she is slightly defected, because we had no intention to make her cause pain or be in pain if she doesn't do one or the other, we are pleased with the results of this child. It also a side note that it seems she wouldn't even think about sacrificing her partner if it meant not causing her pain.

My idea for the first book would be about Hope, who goes by Nadia, and how after she escapes the government facility (at age 11) she ends up on the street. She will meet a boy named Arvin (Ari) that has been recently been stranded on the streets because his house burnt down and his father told him to run away with critical information. It turns out that his father was one of the leading scientists for Project Feelings and he is holding information on what powers each emotion child has, how it is triggered, and how the child uses it. So, after on the streets a little, they both are captured and he finds out the girl is Hope and blah, blah, blah. (I can't really continue from here because it would spoil even more then I have already,)

The second book would be about Rage's and Joy's- who go by Cato and Adela- and their adventure they go on after they escape (with Hope) and also live on the streets. (Yes this book would take pace before the first book, but remember, this is just an idea right now, it could totally be before it)
