Dying in Love

My phone vibrated as I walked back into my bedroom and when I had looked at it i dropped to the floor and cried like my life depended on it. After I gained control of myself once again, I read the message aloud "I'm sorry but I cannot do this anymore, darling.. I can't hurt you". The message confused me so much, how could Zelra hurt me? he loved me too much to do that. I couldn't take it anymore so I grabbed my phone and ran out the door to his house. I knocked on his door and waited for him to come to the door, and he came. I walked in and sat down on the couch without being invited in, which didn't surprise him.

"I know why you're here, you want an explanation don't you?" He said. "Of course I do.. I know you would never hurt me, you love me too much to do that.. What is going on with you, and don't lie about it either" I responded. He sat down across from me in his chair, which had his initials on it "Z.C", and looked me in the eyes. "I- I don't know how to stay this, but... I have cancer.. I've had it for awhile now but didn't want to tell you because I did not want to worry you. The doctors say I only have a few weeks to live, so I didn't want to take you through this with me.. I want you to be happy". "Oh my god, zelra, why didn't you tell me?!? I don't want to be away from you while you only have a few weeks left here on earth.. I want to spend it with you, every single moment of it. I love you so much, zeze pie." I say and walk over to sit on his lap. He starts to rub his hand on my thigh and looks at me in the eyes "I love you too, darling. I shall grant your wish and be with you till the end of my short days.. You're such an amazing girlfriend, I'm so lucky to have you" he states while leaning in to kiss me. I kiss back, and hard. He tries forcing his tongue in my mouth but I decided to tease him so he bites on my lip which causes me to gasp a bit and he slipped his tongue into my mouth as I did. We were fighting for control of the tongue kissing which started to make me giggle and he ended up winning. He carried me up into the bedroom and locked the door behind him.

I woke up to the sun in my eyes which burned my eyes like a mother fucker and caused me to moan in pain. Almost immediately my zeze pie ran in with a worried face and asked what was wrong. "It was nothing, the sunlight just hurt my eyes a bit is all" I said as I smiled and walked over to him. He wrapped his arms around my waist and we just stood there in peace for about 15 minutes until my stomach started to growl. "Is my beautiful, mermaid princess getting hungry?" He chuckled. " Actually, I'm getting dehydrated. Can we go to the beach?". He shook his head yes so we got ready and went to the beach.

As soon as we pulled into the parking lot of the beach I jumped out of the car and ran to the water and leaped in. "Feel better now?" Zelra asked with a smile on his face. "Yes, but now I'm actually hungry, can we go to wonderland cafe?" I say while giggling. He shakes his head yes and waits for me on shore with a towel and clean clothes in his hand. After I get dried off and put on my my Nightwish crop top and denim skinny jeans then walk to wonderland cafe. As I walked in I saw portraits of wonderland characters hanging on the walls  and the room was very colorful. The waiter led us to our booth and showed us the menu. "We have added a new dish to our menu, it's delicious. Vegan grilled cheese with a side of sweet potato fries with our special sauce. Would you like to try it?" The waiter asked. Zelra and I said yes at the same time which caused all three of us to giggle. The waiter came back about 15 minutes later with our food. The food tasted fantastic, especially the special sauce. "Ready to go, my lady?" Zelra asked with a smirk on his face. I giggled and shook my head yes. We paid the food bill and walked to the car.

As we were driving home Zelra's phone rang. "Yes sir?.. Are you sure, only 2 weeks left?" He responded to the man on the phone with a depressed voice. I stared at him with a worried look on my face which caused him to grab my hand and whisper "don't worry darling, I'll talk to you about it when we get home".  As soon as we got home I rushed inside and sat on the sofa and waited for zelra to tell me what is going on. He sat down next to me and opened his arms so I could sit on his lap. "I'm so sorry darling.. But it turns out I only have two weeks to live, and I don't think its a good idea to drag you with me through the process" he said with a slight frown on his face. Tears started trickling down my face as I started to say "I am going through this with you, I need to be with you till your end of days.. I love you so much zeze pie". "Fine... Let's just stay here and cuddle. I love you too, darling".
