As soon as he was gone I turned to look at Bucky smugly.

He scoffed, "You knew this was going to happen. Didn't you, peaches?" He asked with a proud smile.

I nodded. "I saw everything that I transferred into that flash drive. There's absolutely no way someone could not be affected while reading about what we went through in that hellhole." I told him.

He shook his head at me before smiling in exasperation, "What am I going to do with you?" He asked.

"Love me, feed me, never leave me?" I asked teasingly.

His eyes darkened, turning a darker shade of blue as he looked at me, before I could say anything, he blinked.

His eyes turned back to the normal icy blue shade after he did, and he adjusted his position on the chair, yanking on his pants, discreetly as he did.

I smiled widely as Banner walked in to check me.

He told me that there was still a bit of swelling but that I was okay to be discharged with restrictions of course.

Still no reading, electronics, or anything strenuous for the next week or so.

I was disappointed to say the least..

Fortunately for me, Bucky took it upon himself to distract me from my brooding mood and decided to try to lighten up the mood by playing many board games with me.

Bucky read a book to me, and played music in the background to help me go to sleep.

I only managed to sleep for a little while before I began to have nightmares.

Again.

****
(Dream):

I was back in that cage again. Strucker stood outside of the cage, leering at me. The sight made my skin crawl as I swung on the sheets, ignoring the gaze.

"No one is going to save you. Your little soldier friend? Has been cryogenically frozen again. And your other friend, the Captain? He is off fighting in the middle of the war. No one will save you now." He sneered.

I felt a chill go through me as I turned the scene around me began to change.

I was now chained to a concrete wall as two men came in.

Oh god. Not this.

Anything but this.

As they approached me, they began to unbuckle their belts as they sneered at me.

As I slammed my eyes shut as I felt their approach, before they could do anything in that memory, unlike the actual incident… they died before they could come near me.

Though the rational part of me knew that this already happened.

Yet the panic I felt was immediate, suffocating, and overwhelming.

It smothered me like a fucking vice and wouldn't allow me to breath.

I woke up crying sometimes later.

The dream seemed so real. I felt as if I had been transported back to that horrible place.

What's even worse is that I woke up looking for Bucky and he wasn't in the room anymore.

I was all alone.

***

I was tempted to go look for him but felt too exhausted from the dream to actually move.

As I laid there with tears falling down the sides of my face, the dimly lit room, I turned onto my side, and curled my body inward to hold myself. But it only made it worse.
