Many a year I have sat, perched upon this rock. I have watched time fly before my eyes. Young babies growing to children, children to adults with young of their own, and eventually, I bear witness to their lives leaving this world. The cycle is endless. Seasons have continued their changing year after year, bringing with them joy and laughter and sometimes sadness and tears. Why is it that some people and their memories remain? What makes them so much more important? I have witnessed many accounts of great men, but I have grown fond of those that have been forgotten. The Lost Souls who yearned for a life of greatness are the ones who remain in my mind. Sure, the great men and women of old were written in textbooks, but what importance do their unfortunate lives filled with bloodshed and war hold? Their families have nothing to worry about, and why should they? Their family name will remain. No, I would much rather remain with those who have been "forgotten". Their families mourn and weep for their loved ones, unaware that the memory of the one that Death took away with him will remain intact. I may not be able to write my experiences down and taint them with extravagance, but I will faithfully guard them. They deserve more than being left behind in history. The Lost Souls might not have been known for fantastic battles and escapades, but they were just as great, if not better, than those legendary heroes. For what is a great man without a simple man to guide him and keep him humble? A great man can have the money, will, and power to achieve extravagant feats of prowess, but he is nothing without the support of another. So, my dear Lost Souls, do not worry. You have achieved greatness, you are heroes, and you will most definitely be remembered.
