To Late for Confession

The medics come running to the two, holding a stretcher the other medical supplies. One of the doctors quickly tries to find what blood Igloo has so they could get Igloo some blood into his body while others worked on the wounds. Ghost and Captain price come over to Soap. Captain Price place a hand on Soap shoulder pulling him a few feet away from the situation, Ghost stood by watching the medics. The adrenaline in Soap's body was pumping still as the medics rushed to help Igloo. They took Igloo from him as quickly as they could, placing him on a stretcher, prepping Igloo for the blood transfusion. Soap wasn't even listening to Price at this point, his entire focus is on Igloo and hoping he come through okay. He pushed himself forward, wanting to be by your side more than anything when Captain Price grabbed a hold of him, pulling him back. "No...I want to be near him..." Soap yelled, his voice filled with grief. 

A few hours past and they were back at the base. Soap was sitting outside the medical area since the medics has gotten back to base to get Igloo to the safer and cleaner environment to be treated. It been hours and Soap have heard nothing from the doctors on how bad Igloo condition was. Ghost was sitting on the chair tapping his foot as he looks at the ground before looking at Soap hint of confusion and misdreacted anger in his eyes as he speaks "why weren't you protecting him, how did he get shot" Ghost says in anger in his voice getting up from the seat. Soap heard Ghost's voice but didn't even bother looking at him. His whole focus was still on Igloo and how he was doing and he was getting increasingly agitated the longer they kept him outside in the waiting room. Soap was sitting hunched forward, pressing his hands against his face and trying to keep himself together. Ghost's words snapped Soap from his thoughts and Soap finally looked at him. "Excuse me?" Soap said angrily. "You're asking why I wasn't protecting him..." Soap was livid. Ghost eyes narrow as he get angry as well, Ghost was worried about Igloo so he was letting out his stress and anger out on Soap blaming him for what had happened without even knowing what happened on the mission Igloo and Soap went on. "You heard me Soap, answer me" he says coldly. Soap couldn't believe this...Ghost was going to blame him for this. He didn't even know the situation. Soap rose to his feet, his anger boiling, and he got extremely close to Ghost. He leaned in close, almost right up against Ghost and got right into his face, keeping his voice low so the others in the waiting room wouldn't hear. "Don't. You. Dare. Blame. Me. For. What. Happened. On. Today, Do You Understand? We did everything we could to ensure the mission would be completed successfully, without casualties." Ghost stared back at him with anger, he scoffs a little as he holds his ground staring down at him. "And Igloo got hurt on your watch" he says coldly looking at him with miss directed hate do to his worry for Igloo. He clutched his fist as he looks down at him. Soap's anger was seething, his temper almost getting the best of him. He clenched his fists as he stared back at Ghost, feeling as though Ghost was blaming him for something out of his control. Soap narrowed his eyes, wanting to let out the anger he felt boiling inside of him, but he took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. "He got hurt." Soap said, his voice still low. "On my watch i can't , control. Every. Situation." Ghost stared at him before walking away, he wasnt going to deal with this the last thing they needed was a fight to break out. Ghost walks down the hallway making his way to his room to separate himself from Ghost and there argument. Soap watched Ghost walk away while clenching his fists. Ghost had no right to blame him for this situation and Soap wasn't sure whether he would be able to remain civil if Ghost tried pulling this again. Soap sat back down, his anger simmering, and he waited for news on Igloo's condition.
