Last Twilight: Sight for The Sky ✔completed

There are only a few dramas and TV series that truly stays in my heart for a long time and makes a huge impact on me. This Thai series definitely made it onto such list of dramas to cherish. And as such, I have also searched for fanfictions to get more of this universe and characters. There are two texts which I find intriguing. 

"The Only Gift That Matters" by DLanaDHZ (found on AO3) shows us that raw hopelessness when you are blind and your loved one is bleeding right there in front of you. You do not know what is happening. You do not know where you are. You feel helpless. This piece reminded me of the drama scene where Mhok thought Day was the hotel guest who got hit in ep. 11. Lost. Scared. Blind by not knowing details. 

"Some help" by AFandomLover (also on AO3) is in my opinion the most logical and relevant way how the ep. 12 should have started after the turmoil of ep. 11 ending. If this piece was inwrought into the drama, it would feel very natural with the storyline, the vibe, the characters. I read this fanfiction right after ep. 11 and could very clearly imagine this was the right path to lead the story forward.

In case you fell in love with Jimmy and Sea in this drama and want to get more, let your steps lead you to the drama "Vice Versa" where these two actors played the two male leads as well. The drama revolves around travelling between parallel universes. A colorist and a famous actor almost die in this universe only to wake up in an alternative universe in the bodies of someone else. As it turns out they have a way how to come back "home" and that is to find a "portkey" - a matching person with whom they have a deep connection. These two gets closer in this parallel universe without knowing how the other person truly looks like in their original universe. They create new friendships, connections and go through thick and thin together. It is cute, it is warm, it is beautiful.

Not only we get to see these two actors in another BL drama, playing the male leads (tell me if you know any other case where the exact same actors played in two different BL dramas), but their characters are very identical to the ones in Last Twilight as well (or it is just the two male leads giving the characters their own selves). 

There is also something I have noticed:

1. In one of the episodes in Vice Versa Sea says:

His character in Last Twilight was almost blind, so he fell in love with Mhok without knowing his full appearance.

2. Talking about Mhok....

In Vice Versa Sea met a person who reminded him of one of his past crushes whose name was Mhok! (This sentence alone gave me an idea for a fanfic. Would you like to know more?). This connection is interesting as Vice Versa is from 2022, but Last Twilight is from 2023.

Additional recommendation: 

It is not as common to have a drama which deals with characters with disability. I had a little research into this topic and in case you are interested in another BL series with a similar niche check out "Midnight Chicken".  

The supporting couple in this TV series has a deaf boy. The story of the couple goes like this: Li Ming works at his uncle's diner (note: the uncle is the main lead of this series). One evening he delivers an order to police officer's house. When he rings, no one answers so he enters the house. Inside is a boy who does not react to his callings. He startles this boy who, as a result, drops a bottle of liquor. It turns out it was a rather expensive bottle. The uncle and the police officer agree that Li Ming pays off this bottle by working at the police officer's house. That is how Li Ming gets to know the household's son - Heart, who is deaf. For the first time in three years, Li Ming is a person who makes great efforts to communicate with Heart and the two of them gradually become closer. Compared to the main couple, Li Ming and Heart does not take much screen time in the drama (very sadly), but their story is very nicely portrayed. Sometimes they communicate using sign language with no subtitles, but you will very easily get what they want to convey without any knowledge of sign language. This adds up so much to the story.
