The next day, Valerie woke up again and checked her phone, 1 message from Ms Eliane, "Hi there Valerie, tomorrow we will be having classes so please bring your books and check the schedule on that day, thank you. " she read from her phone. She was quite excited to have classes, she heard there was 2 Filipino teachers that teach 10th grade english.

She stepped foot outside her house again to go to school. She was excited to see her best friends and Tristan. That name made the butterflies in her stomach flutter and he gave her warmth whenever he's near. She smiled joyfully and ran to school thinking about him. No one knew how she felt about the tall basketball player and she wanted to keep it that way, if anyone finds out, they might tell him. What if he finds out? What would his reaction be? She started thinking negatively but she erased those thoughts when she arrived to the classroom to see her best friends together talking. She felt relieved to see them because they made her feel happy too. Except.. They were with emily and another girl. she had a hijab on, she was also a new student. "Hiii" the unknown girl said. "My name is Maxine, but just call me Max" she smiled. "She walked up to us and introduced herself so we were just talking while waiting for you. " Akira said. She side eyed Emily and Maxine secretly to Valerie so she knew they were problematic. "Yeahh lol" Max said,
'did she just say lol in real life?' Valerie thought.
"Soo anyways did u guys know my dad bought me a super cute 300 dollar dress? It's soo cute and it's pink and has flowers all over it it's sooo pretty" Emily flexed, the trio looked at her weirdly but just agreed. "you wear dresses?? eww that's so girly. I'm not girly I'm a tomboy I hate dresses, skirts and bras. " Maxine said looking at her with disgust, Valerie and Akira both exchanged looks of disgust knowing they now have to deal with 2 pick mes for the rest of the year. Thankfully the bell rang and they all had to go back to their seats.

Valerie went to her seat to see Tristan sitting next to her. whenever she saw him her heart fluttered. She felt like she was going to have a heart attack sitting next to him. "Hi there" he said, smiling at her, "oh, Hello" Valerie smiled back. They both made eye contact and then they started having great conversations and were laughing a lot. Mia saw this from afar and didn't like it at all

After Tristan said sorry to Mia, she wouldn't stop talking and bothering him, even sometimes flirting during break time.
Valerie knew about it because she always did it when Valerie was near. everytime she did it Valerie's heart would break more and more. She wasn't sure if the male enjoyed talking to her though, every single time she did he just smiled at her awkwardly. It kept going on for weeks. To the point every single time she did it, Valerie looked like she wanted to kill her. Akira knew she didn't like when Mia talked to Tristan she observed them both whenever Mia flirted with him during break time. Akira has a feeling that Valerie might have feelings for the male, but she wasn't sure. So, she kept observing them.

Mia kept bothering him until Valerie decided to confront her after school after she came back home.

Valerie angrily left the group as well. She was done with Mia. she felt sad because Mia was like a part of her. She regret confronting her but being truthful always works. And plus she didn't like it when Mia talked to Tristan so she knew if she confronts Mia then she would probably not talk to him anymore. She felt sad but it was the truth as well, Tristan wasn't interested in her at all. She was scared for tomorrow. Would Akira still talk to her? will Mia ignore her? what will happen?
