🌹Chapter 14🌹

Arabella's POV:

I was cleaning the bottom floor...when I see Aunt Margaret racing towards me. "Dear....please leave this in Mr Maranzano's room. I would've done it...but there's too much on my plate now!"

She makes me hold a luxurious suit in my hand....but just before she can leave....I decide to clear my doubt. " But aunt Margaret...what if he...gets upset to see me?" Just then her face softens and she comes towards me.

" He isn't there dear. He's working out in the gym room...so you won't face any problems!" She gave me a smile of reassurance and left. I instantly make my way to Jacob's room.

It's so funny....how I'm his wife...but I haven't been in his room since the last time he told me to leave....which was the night of our wedding.

I open the door and look around. It looks the same as it was the day I was here.... except there was no flowers or any wedding decorations. The room has his scent...that strong scent that I've never forgotten for years.

I go to the bed and leave the suit down. I was about to leave...but then I'm stopped by the pictures. He looks so happy...if only he could be half as happy as he is there with me. Soon I heard the door open and I looked back to have the shock of my life!

Jacob's POV:

I was working out in the gym...when my phone rang. I picked it up and saw that it was Mr Black calling.

On the phone:

Jacob: Mr Black....what can I do for you?

Mr Black: you see...I have to be somewhere by midnight...so we have to start the ceremony earlier.

I roll my eyes. Now I have to stop my workout session early because of him!

Jacob: sure....at what time do I have to be there?

Mr Black: like in an hour

End of phone call

I immediately rush to my room and as I open the door....I see someone standing by my bed. Now who would dare to stand by my bed? I immediately get ready to attack this woman...only to see it's HER!

I immediately race towards her...and she tries to move away. "What are you doing here...in my room?" She starts to tremble as she tries to hide herself away from me.

"I'm... sorry...I swear....I didn't mean too
...." Before she could continue I decide to cut her off. " Then what are you doing here!" She flinches at my loud voice.

"I....I...was here to....leave your suit... Aunt Margaret....was busy". Just then....I realize that I don't have the time for this nonsense!

My throne is waiting for me....and I decide to spare this stupid girl for today... after all people still believe she's my wife....that's the reason I'm gonna be crowned today!

"Just get out!" She immediately runs out and I begin to get changed. Today will be a great day! I'm gonna get that throne. I remember how hard I worked to get this. I removed everything and everyone that was in my way of getting it!

"Driver let's go" and with that...the car immediately took off. Imagine getting every single mafia to obey me like that! I can really sense that ahead of me. They will all beg me for mercy!

I walk into the luxurious room....every mafia's eyes are on me. They all probably envying me because of the fact that they cannot get what I'm about to get now!

"So we all gathered here today to announce our new king. He has helped everyone since the day he had stepped into our mafia world. He started off by becoming the leader of his father's gang....and now....he has shown that he is capable of becoming ' king of the underworld ' "

I started to get bored by Mr Black's continuous chanting. But soon everyone will be chanting my name like this! I'll be everyone's boss.

"So I would like to pronounce Mr Jacob Maranzano....the king of the underworld!" Everyone began cheering and clapping. Gunshots were fired to celebrate my achievement.

Just as someone was approaching me with my crown....my smirk widened. Nothing can come in my way now! The title is mine!

"Wait!" My anger was at it's peaks now!
The crown was just above my head...but because of HIM... Mr Black moved the crown away. Yes... Charlie had come to ruin my moment!

"It's not possible for Mr Maranzano to be king....and I have proof!"
