Chapter 1(Tori)
I sat there at the pool daydreaming and drawing Conner. I watched him walk around this academy like he was the only one who existed. There were 40 people in the academy, 20 girls and 20 boys. He was by far the most handsome boy I had ever seen. The ages for the academy ranged from 15-19. I was a senior and a transfer from Finland. Anthony was my 15 year old brother. He was a pain and he liked to rebel so there wasn't much helping him. Conner had talked to me a few times but he usually kept to himself. Today he sat in the pool with a bunch of populars. "Why don't you go say something instead of staring at him like a stalker!" Anthony yelled. Everyone stared at me. I grabbed my notebook, stuffed it in my bag, and ran. I sensed Conner knew I was watching him, but it hadn't made me wanted to stop. I shrunk into a corner and started crying. He had to humiliate me I front of the populars. A few minutes later drips of water hit the ground. And a hand touched me. I looked up and saw Conner's face. "You ok?" I was speechless. I didn't reply, I just stared at his hand touching my shoulder. He laughed "Listen, why don't you and I go for a walk." I got up and he took my hand and held it firmly. We walked into the big garden. I normally came here to clear my head. Sometimes I ran into Conner here and then made a fool of myself. We sat on a bench next to the lilies. Which by far were my favorite flowers in the garden. "Tori why do you stare at me everyday?" Conner sit held my hand. Had he really asked me that?! "You know why." I looked down at my lap like I was a little girl being scolded. "I know. But I want to here you say it." Conner lifted my chin with his free hand. "Why? So I can embarrass myself? I've already done enough today." I went to get up, but he pulled me back down and didn't let my hand go. "I'm serious. I want to here you say it." He looked me in the eyes and waited. "I...I...like you." I struggled to get the words out, but it felt so good to say. I was surprised by his reaction. Conner smiled and stood "Doesn't that feel better?" He then left me in the garden. I was left there with questions. Did he like me back? Did he do this hurt me? Later I went back to my dorm and found a note. Meet me at the lilies tonight at 11:00 p.m. ~Anonymous~ I loved mysterious things, but it could only be one guy, Conner.
Chapter 2 (Alaska)
I went to my dorm searching for Tori. We weren't really close but we had been room mates so I was friendly to her. When I got to the dorm no one was there, but if I knew Tori I know she would be back to grab her swimming suit, which would be in the next hour after the populars left the pool. Later in the day a note slipped through the bottom of the door. I left it guessing it was Tori's. I studied for my History exam until my phone buzzed. It was my boy friend, Logan. We had been dating for a year and a half and tomorrow was our anniversary. We had been planning what to do and decided to just go bowling with some friends. I read the text and left for the smoothie bar which was around the corner and next to the pool. Logan was waiting there with my favorite drink. "Mango smoothie for the lovely, gorgeous, talented..." I smiled "Get on with it!" He continued "smart, Alaska." Yes. My name was Alaska, like the cold and miserable place I had heard of. I took it and drank. "Have you seen Tori?" He kissed my cheek a few times. "Why are you worried about that girl. She is a big girl and can take care of herself." I stepped back from him. "She is my friend. And have you?" He waited he looked around and then spoke. "I'm not supposed to tell anyone but Conner snuck away and ran after her when she flipped out. Her idiot brother kind of called her out on her drooling session." My face lost color. "Where is she!" Logan rolled his eyes "With Conner! Don't worry he is the nicest guy out of our whole group. He is the hopeless romantic kind of guy." A sense of relief swept over me. I wonder what was happening? I smiled at the thought probably a make out session. I laughed at the thought. Tori was actually very out going and witty. But she got nervous around the populars because they tortured her. They did what ever they could because she simply liked Conner. It was sad, but if Conner liked her back maybe she would stop being so socially awkward. The populars got out of the pool. "I've gotta go. Love you babe" I kissed Logan and left. Back to the dorm to seek my answers from Tori.
