Ship: WolShim × YiSun
Drama: My Demon
---
In the heart of a mist-shrouded valley, where wildflowers danced with the wind and ancient pines whispered timeless secrets, there lived WolShim, a ginseng spirit with hair as dark as midnight and a soul tethered to the earth. She tended the forest, her days quiet but rich with purpose, her nights spent under the stars, tracing their stories with a yearning that only she could understand.
YiSun, on the other hand, was no ordinary nobleman. He was a scholar, a poet, and a seeker of beauty in an otherwise rigid world. Born into privilege, he often escaped the confines of his manor to wander the forests, his heart drawn to the untamed wilderness-and to the legend of the spirit who guarded it.
One fateful evening, under the waning moon, their paths crossed. YiSun had ventured deep into the woods, guided by a peculiar trail of jasmine blossoms. There, beneath a canopy of starlight, he saw her. WolShim stood at the edge of a crystalline brook, her fingers brushing the water's surface. She looked otherworldly, her presence both delicate and powerful.
"You," YiSun called softly, stepping forward. "Are you the spirit of this forest?"
WolShim turned, her stormy eyes meeting his. She had heard of mortals venturing into her domain, but none had dared to approach her so directly.
"And if I am?" she replied, her voice like the rustle of leaves.
"Then I must thank you," he said, bowing deeply. "For I have never seen such beauty in all my life."
WolShim's lips curved into a small, bemused smile. "Flattery will get you nowhere, nobleman. Why are you here?"
YiSun hesitated, his gaze earnest. "I seek solace from the burdens of my world. They say this forest holds secrets, and perhaps... something I've been missing."
Her expression softened. "The forest offers peace to those who respect it. But tread carefully, for not all secrets are meant to be uncovered."
---
From that night on, YiSun returned to the forest, and slowly, WolShim allowed him closer. He spoke of his life-the constraints of duty, the weight of expectations, and his dreams of freedom. She, in turn, revealed the magic of her realm, teaching him the language of the trees and the constellations that guided her nights.
One evening, YiSun brought a surprise. "Come with me," he said, his hand outstretched.
WolShim hesitated. "I cannot leave the forest."
"You won't have to," he assured her. "It's not far."
Curiosity overcame her. She placed her hand in his, and he led her to the edge of the woods, where a small clearing overlooked the valley.
There, under the vast night sky, YiSun had prepared a simple feast of fruits and tea. But it wasn't the food that took WolShim's breath away-it was the burst of colors that lit up the heavens.
Fireworks.
"What magic is this?" she whispered, her eyes wide with wonder.
YiSun chuckled. "It's no magic, only human ingenuity. They light the sky to celebrate, to chase away darkness."
The fireworks painted the night in brilliant hues, their reflections dancing in WolShim's eyes. For the first time in centuries, she felt her heart stir-not with longing for the stars, but for something tangible, something mortal.
YiSun watched her, his heart aching with tenderness. "WolShim-ah," he said softly, "will you allow me to be part of your world? To share these moments, no matter how fleeting they may be?"
She turned to him, her stormy eyes shimmering. "Even if I cannot leave this forest?"
"Then I will come to you," he vowed. "Every day, for as long as I live."
---
And so, their love blossomed like the jasmine that trailed the forest paths. YiSun visited WolShim whenever he could, bringing her pieces of the outside world-poetry, songs, and stories of distant lands.
In return, WolShim shared her wisdom, her laughter, and her unwavering spirit. Under the ancient trees and the starlit sky, they created a life of their own-a union of earth and sky, spirit and flesh.
The forest, once a place of solitude, now echoed with their joy. And though their love defied the laws of nature and society, it shone as brightly as the fireworks that first brought them together.
A love unbound by time, destined to outlive even the stars.
