Outside the hospital, the world continued to turn.

The seasons changed from Winter to Spring, the sunlight growing stronger and more relentless by the day.

People laughed and cried, fell in love and said goodbyes....

Life went on, but for Seventeen, it felt as if time had come to a standstill.

Inside the hospital, the medical staff continued to monitor Yn's condition around the clock. The machines beeped and whirred, their readouts flashing in a constant reminder of her fragility. The doctors and nurses worked tirelessly, performing procedure after procedure in a desperate attempt to keep her alive.

They were exhausted, both physically and emotionally, but they refused to give up hope.

Outside the hospital, the world carried on without them. The days turned into weeks, and then into months.

Seungcheol, now almost fully recovered, was discharged from the hospital and taken home. He was a shadow of his former self, haunted by the memories of that fateful night.

Each morning, he awoke with a start, convinced that he had heard her voice calling his name. It was a cruel reminder of the reality he faced...that she might not ever wake up again.

The doctors had explained that her injuries were extensive, that the damage to her brain was irreparable. He had to accept the fact that the Yn he once knew might be gone forever....

But still, he couldn't shake the feeling that she was somehow out there, fighting to return to him. He spent hours at her bedside, talking to her as if she could hear him, telling her about his days, about his hopes and dreams.

Sometimes, he would imagine her responding to him, her voice soft and reassuring. In his heart, he held on to the faintest glimmer of hope.

"Love...we will get married as soon as you wake up" Seungcheol whispered to Yn as he held her hand, his voice thick with emotion. "We'll have a beautiful wedding. And after that, we'll go on our honeymoon, just the two of us. We'll go anywhere you want, sweetheart. We'll make so many memories together."

His voice broke as he continued, "I'll take care of you, Yn. I promise. I'll never let anything happen to you again."

The nurse, seeing the anguish in his eyes, gently squeezed his shoulder. "Seungcheol, why don't you take a break? Get some rest, maybe?" But he couldn't bring himself to leave her side.

Seungcheol felt like he had lost himself in this endless cycle of despair. Every moment, every breath, was a struggle. But still, he found himself talking to Yn as if she were right there with him. He told her about the times they'd shared, the things they'd done together. He shared his hopes and dreams with her, as if somehow she was listening to his words.

He couldn't help but cry as he held her hand, his tears falling onto her pale skin. He'd never felt so empty, so lost. He couldn't imagine a world without her in it.

As the days turned into weeks, Seungcheol's schedule began to mess up. He'd forget to eat, to sleep. He'd find himself dozing off in the hospital chair, only to be jolted awake by the nurse's insistent hand on his shoulder.

The other members of the group were just as lifeless, their eyes filled with a mixture of exhaustion and despair. They didn't know what to feel or how to process what was happening. All they could do was keep praying for Yn.

Jeonghan, unable to watch his friend suffer any longer, would sometimes force Seungcheol to go home and take a rest. But even then, Seungcheol's thoughts would inevitably drift back to Yn.
