It was a simple assignment, build a house, bridge, or any construction in your liking's. Simple right? The Teacher even mentioned that it was a group effort assignment. Yes, this seems like it'd be a fun project! If it weren't for the damn Teacher to be doing the 'assign partners' bullshit...
I mean, I get it... 4th period has less students than most of the other architecture classes. But that's because this was advance, so we basically got caught up with most of the boring stuff. Although, I honestly think it was stupid for Mrs. Gina to have split the class by 2 a group. There's only 12 of us students, sure, but maybe you could've split us by 3 a group? Or four?
The last thing I wouldn't have predicted was how Mrs. Gina partnered me up with the most annoying girl I've ever met.
Yeah, I'm talking about you Raven. Don't think I can't see that stupid smirk you're hiding from across the room. I can't say if you were actually expecting this. I know I wasn't...
After Mrs. Gina had finished with assigning partners, the rest of the class period was to 'draft out' the project. Mia Ono didn't bother to get up from her seat. But the sound of heels clicking on the tiles makes her skin crawl.
She looks under her shoulder to see the plaid skirt matching with the vanilla colored coat. Just a small tap on her shoulder makes Mia feel bothered. She spun herself to face her partner more maturely.
Raven had already carry on that smug expression, she finds a chair and sits besides Mia. "So, Mia." Her voice was affluent, in a way that Mia just assumes Raven is nuisance. "What do you think we should build?"
That's a good question, except that Mia has no idea. Which made Raven snicker to herself. Like she's judging Mia's lack of senses right now. This triggered the brunette as she glares at Raven. "Oh, and what do you propose we should make?" Mia asked with heavy indignation implied.
It wasn't long before Raven recognizes sarcasm in Mia's share. "Perhaps maybe a luxury home?" She suggested. A luxury home? Something Raven would come up with. Mia rolled her eyes. "Okay, we get it first class. But try not to suggest something vividly complex."
"It's not complex, are you even trying? Now I'm just assuming that you don't wanna do the difficult projects. How very boring of you, Mia." Raven teases. Honestly, maybe she was right and Mia just wants it done after a couple of days. All so they won't have to deal with each other the whole other weeks before the project is due.
"Okay, you're right. Then let's do just a modern house. To make it more complicated: We'll even paint it. How does that sound?" She had hoped that was final. Raven seemed relish that she had convinced Mia to do something more professional for both of their likings. Or only just her in general. Because Mia was not having it.
The Avian girl nods. "So be it! Would you like me to come over to your house this weekend?" That question had startled Mia. Her home? Now that was very perceptional of you, Raven. It's fine... Her father works most of his shift in a technological career, so there won't be any fuss.
"Okay, what time are you coming over?"
