The alarm clock is the only thing that can't wake me up I suppose. It's so inconvenient that an object I wasted PRECIOUS money on cannot even do its job right. But it's a Friday so I don't have work today. Even so, I have the whole day ahead of me. But I just want to play video games.. Let me get my black ass out of bed and get something on my stomach first.
I could hear a meow from under my bed as I walked out of my room. "Laijent?" I mumbled. I turned around to see my 7 year old Maine coon cat crawling out from under my bed. Laijent has been my most valuable friend and therapist. I vent all of my problems to him like he understands the things that I go through. It helps though. I don't exactly feel comfortable going to see a therapist. "You fat cat. Why aren't you in your bed? It wasn't very cheap to get, and I thought it was cute. I guess you disagree, hm?" I picked him up and walked in the direction of my kitchen. "Let's go eat something."
The light flickered as I flipped on the switch. I rolled my eyes and placed Laijent down. "Guess I need to change the bulb. It's been a while anyway," I said, turning on my stove first. I turned around to look at my cat who had just leaped like a cricket onto my counter. "It'll be waffles with bacon for me. And kibble with that special formula of milk for you. We've got to thank Auntie Odie for finding that for you." Laijent softly meowed at me. Is that a "I don't care" meow, or a "just fucking feed meow"? Eh, who cares?
I got the waffles out of the freezer and placed them on the counter. Before I could go in my fridge and get the bacon my phone started to ring. "Oh my fucking god. Leave me ALONE.." I said. My hand went in my pocket without thinking and I was going automatically press the decline button. But I had saw a number that I hadn't seen in a while. I looked around my kitchen, like someone was watching me. I then took a deep breath in, and pressed accept.
"Hello?" The caller said. "H-Hello?" I responded. "Oh good, I finally have got a hold of you. Took me long enough." What is happening that is you need to call me? I didn't say that out loud because I didn't even want to be on the phone with this guy right now. There was a brief moment of silence. "Come on Nee-Nee, you don't have to be scared. It's not like I would ever hurt you."
"You don't have the right to call me that, Alexander Paxton," I coldly said. "Ouch—That pierced my heart badly. There's no need to be so formal Azenie. What happened to Lex?" I put my breakfast back in my fridge, and mouthed to my cat "I'll just order take out."
"Lex was a person I once knew, then he died later on within my life. I truly did love Lex. But he hurt me while I did, and still did nothing but love him," I said. There was another moment of silence. "Well that's a harsh way to put it," Alex mumbled. "But that's how you can describe too? Can't you?" There was more silence. "Listen Azenie, I want to say sorry. I genuinely don't know what was going on with me then, but I can promise you that I've really changed. I've even been to rehab. But my life just isn't the same without you," he ranted.
"Lex. I-I can't do this right now. Can we talk in person? Preferably where there are a lot of people? Maybe Jameson Park?" I requested. "As you wish my lov—" I hung up before he could finish sentence. "God I hate being gay sometimes," I complained. Laijent meowed loudly. "Okay okay, let me feed you and then I'll go." The sound of the kibble pouring into food bowl reminds me of wheels of a gurney. I don't know how or why, but it just does.
Afterwards I run to my closet to get dressed. The theme for today is black. I choose these nice slim fit sweatpants and obviously a black turtleneck. For my outerwear was a black trench coat and a matching fedora like a certain superthief would. Makeup? Do I really have time for that? I mean of course I do. What kind of coroner would I be if I didn't wear any?
Now, where's my white eyeliner?
