(Y/N)'s POV
Every last child left the pizzeria with protests and whines. They wanted to stay and play the night away, but they needed to go to bed like their parents told them to. The doors closed for a while, with no one coming in or out.
When the clock struck 5 minutes before 12, the door opened once more. Keys jingled, and footsteps echoed on the tile floor. My curtains were drawn open for the time being.
I saw this man walk into the room. He wore the same kind of uniform that William wore. Does this place need to be watched 24/7? There were no kids in attendance right now. All the little partygoers have left for home; why would we need one?
His eyes gave away to how tired he was. He must not have been the night owl type or wasn't as enthusiastic to work this kind of job.
He paid us animatronics on the stages, little mind. His lethargic footsteps guided him down a hallway ahead of us. I didn't see him anymore as he walked into a room after taking a sharp left.
Ringing audibly echoed from down the hall like a phone that I heard sometime today. The man must have picked it up because the ringing stopped, and a voice started speaking.
The voice echoed off the walls, but it was muffled in a way. I only understood vague phrases like a repeated "Hello?"
The voice droned on for at least an hour. Like clockwork, once the call ended, I heard a slight creak. I turned my body over to see what made that sound.
The big blue bunny had turned his head to face a dark corner of the main stage. I watched with curious eyes as he moved slowly. He paused whenever a camera turned on in the party room, our room.
His steps were loud, measured thumps as he slowly inched his path down the main stage to stand amongst the tables. A camera would turn on, and he would swivel his head to point directly at the camera lens.
His eyes locked on it until its little red light cut off for the time being. The languid thumps of his heavy footsteps persisted on until he made it to the very end. A door loudly rattled to the ground with a loud thunk. Lights flickered to illuminate the large bunny.
He stuck around in that hallway for quite some time. The big yellow chicken decided to join the fun, too. She was the farthest from me of the three on the very right. She got off the stage and onto the party floor a little faster than the bunny.
Her goal didn't seem to align with his all that much. She moved onto a different path. In slow steps, she entered the kitchen instead of the hall.
Pots and pans echoed and crashed loudly in there. The noise was almost constant for a few minutes before it all stopped. She wandered back out and took to the other hallway.
The blue bunny left the hall to post himself back in the party room. He stood among the tables as he stared at the camera in the corner.
My fellow band members wandered about the pizzeria. I wondered to myself if I should do that, too. But I decided against it and sat on my little stage. My limbs slowly swept in a rhythmic movement around my stage.
I grew curious as time passed as to why my band members seemed to like going back there. They wanted to get into the security guard's office more than anything.
Hours ticked by on the clocks as they kept going. I saw a bright red fox dash down the hall to slam himself against the door. He wasn't getting in despite slamming against it. That red fox left after meeting his match with the door.
A loud sound blared through the building as the power went off. The man in that back office screamed at suddenly being drowned in darkness after having my band members trying to get to him for hours on end.
My eyes franticly moved around the building. I didn't have a clue what was going on. I watched for any type of sound or visual before me.
A noisy thump followed by more came from my right. Two lights, like flashlights came from next to me. I turned my body to face the main stage.
The one in the very middle. The big brown bear had eyes glowing like headlights as he took lumbering steps off the stage.
He slowly and calmly stepped down from the stage to the party room floor. Nothing stopped him as the cameras were off. Music started to blare from his voice box like a tune you would hear from one of those jewelry boxes with the ballerina in it.
He stopped in front of the door. The man shouted at the face and name of this establishment. "Get away from me!" He cried out, but the big bear didn't listen to a word he said.
The bear even inched forward. He walked into the room and out of my sight. The screams of fear grew amplified until a certain point, which turned into pain.
Bloodcurdling screams bounced off the walls of this huge building. It could be heard from all around. It was louder than the birthday from earlier. No one could miss it.
The screams died down after a short while. Light flickered back on in the office with a whirling sound. Patches of light dimly shined on the floor.
The bear slowly walked back to the stage. Each of my band members locked back into their place without another thump or thud. They stood motionless like we were supposed to.
Not a single peep or sound came from anybody for hours. It was an odd moment to be in. I was sure that the man in that back office wouldn't be returning to work tomorrow night.
