CHRONICLES OF AEONIA 1: THE DEVIL'S WHITE ROSE

The Journey Begins

After her goodbyes, Elsha slowly walks towards the exit with the help of hiding behind the tree by tree. About 3 people were waiting at the exit, by chance if the witch escaped to catch her.

"The exit is already on guard; how will I get a chance to escape?"

Elsha stops for some minutes to gather a plan. While she was in thought, she noticed that the lights appearing from the opposite side of the exit. After she escaped from her house, the villagers began to check her near the town. After they approached the exit, one of the men came forward.

"Hey guys, The Witch escaped. I guess she will try to escape and she is not stupid enough to escape through exit carelessly. So, some of us will stay with you guys and others search for her throughout the village."

"Well, we can suspect that the old man Wilfred will shelter her. Let's thoroughly search his house first." One of the Guard speak.

"You are right let's search everywhere and burn her to death"

After hearing this, like fuel added to fire all the villagers become enthusiastic.

After hearing all this conversation, Elsha understands it is difficult to escape through the front. So, she decided to go through the forest.

She climbs the hill carefully. But after using her magic, no one was nearby. When she reached her old house, it was already burned down. She ran towards it and searched through the burn crumbles. After some searching, she found a box. She picks it up and holds it close to her.

"Sorry Mom, I'm leaving the place we lived" she cries.

"Haaa... there are no lingering feelings in this land. But my only regret is I couldn't tell Luk about my journey. Well, I guess I can see the outside world now"

While she going through such a situation, she heard some noise.

"I saw someone running through the hills"

She recognizes that the villagers are coming. She picks up her belongings and runs with her full might.

"Look, it's The Witch!" a man shouts.

Elsha runs as fast as she can toward the forest and barely enters it.

"Everyone stop! She entered the forest. We cannot follow her anymore" a man with a hat said.

"But what will we say if anyone asks about her" the slim man near him asked.

"Only four of us know about her escape to the forest. Even if she is a Witch, she will die by the hand of a monster"

"So?"

"Let's say that we killed her, OK, and also if we do something that others couldn't do"

"Oh...."

"Yes, you get it. We will become important figures right"

After their plan, they slowly return to the village.

The news about how they killed the Witch became so popular that some young people even began to worship them as the days passed.

At that time due to continued escapes and hiding, Elsha was exhausted and fainted on the ground. The one-horned rabbits and unicorn-deers were surrounded her. Little spirits were flying around her. Suddenly a predator beast approaches her due to the smell of blood from her wound. Predators are beats that never let a prey. If it targets it once until it hunts it down. Due to their good smell sense, they can catch their wounded prey easily.

The little creatures notice its presence. Even though they were scared, they stayed by Elsha's side. The beast approaches and targets Elsha. It rushed towards Elsha. To stop it from approaching Elsha, The small creature threw itself towards the beast but their desperate fight didn't give any result. The predator beast, happily looks at its food, because it can feel the mana leaking from Elsha. If it can eat her, it can gain more strength, which allows him to battle for the seat of the southern monarch.

While it was in his thought and didn't notice the figure behind it. Suddenly the beast turned his head because sensing a presence. But it gets knocked out by a single strike and lays unconscious.

"Hmm.. what happened to her to be in this condition"

"Let's ask her when she wakes up brother"

The two-headed Lynx appeared near her and after checking her they slowly sat on the stone. The little creature looks at him and tries to approach Elsha. But he didn't mind them and slowly slept near her.

After some time, Elsha slowly wakes up.

"Oh, you wake? Are you all right now?"

Elsha looks at her side.

"Don't worry you are safe. What happened to you, why are you in such a state?"

Elsha looks at the Lynx.

"Are you two protected me?"

"That's the promise we gave. So, tell us what happened?"

Elsha looks down with a sad face and tells the Lynx what happened.

"So, even if they do all this, you are not seeking revenge. You have enough power, right?"

"I can't hurt them because magic is not to hurt someone. That's what my mom said"

"Well, you are using it for not hurting, it is for survival, right? So why not? We are not trying to change your ideals but we need to use them when you need to survive"

After hearing this Elsha slowly stands up and packs up her things and looks for injured Skye.

"Ok, then let's leave"

And from there Elsha begins her journey.
