I look up to see everyone in the room staring at me. Ugh, why do they need to make it so hard? I go through ideas in my head, performing trial and errors scenarios on each idea. Finally, I find a decent, and hopefully promising one. I secretly smirk to myself, then, thinking about what I had just done, my eyes fly up to meet the judging eyes that met my stare. It seems that most of my maids were ignorant of my short slip of concentration, and the others only had raised eyebrows, but showed no other sign of concern.

I stand up and make my way towards my destination; which is the small dining set in the middle of the room that held a tray. On the tray was a delicate looking silver teapot, which had several cherubs and fancy little flowers carved into the outside. Next to the teapot was a set of fragile china teacups. The skirt of my dress barely brushed against the ground, swaying with my movements I walked toward the table. When I reached it, I casually walked around the table, but my movements were stopped by a chair. I carefully ran my leg into the leg of the chair, making it sound painful, but not actually hurting myself in the process. I fall to the floor in a small pile, making a small scream as I did so, trying my best to sound convincing. I hear the sound of my maids rushing towards where I lay.

"Oh, I think I broke my leg, I need to rest. Oh goodness it hurts dreadfully." I fake complain. I bite my lip, holding back a smile. I kept a tight hold on the middle of my leg where I "broke" it.

"Oh, Miss Emerald, I will help you to your bed where you must rest. Sarah, call on the doctor! Oh, goodness how could this have happened?" My head maid exclaimed. Oh god, this was going to be alot harder than I expected. Think fast Emerald!

"Oh, do forgive me Mrs Grover, but I must rest alone. It is tiring when one is in company of people such as yourself." I say.

"Oh, yes of course m'lady." Mrs Grover says, scurrying out of the room, opening and closing the large oak door that was polished to perfection. I grin like an idiot as I stand up, quietly making my way across my spacious room towards my large, cherry oak wardrobe. Remember Emerald, you need to be quick.

I grab a simple, red dress after a short while of digging through the huge expanse of my wardrobe. I really should ask father to get me another one, this one is nearly full of dresses I never wear. I was struggling to adjust it at the back, but I just managing, even though it took up a large amount of time. I take a deep breath, and walk towards the stone fireplace.

"Miss, the doctor is here! May we come in?" My maid pants.

"Give me a moment." I say calmly.

Come on Emerald hurry, I push myself.

I place my hand on one of the bricks, the third brick to the left of the fourth brick above the center brick to be precise. I press it downand the fire place gradually opens. I take the chance to slip in, which is good, because it wouldn't have been long until Grover burst through the door with the doctor. I grab the torch placed on the ground and run through the passage.

I run down to small confided corrider, the hem of my dress dragging behind me. It becomes slightly soggy with the moisture not only on the floor, but on the walls and in the air of the tunnel as well. After what seemed like forever, I begin to see the form of door at the end of the passage. Once the edges of the door become clear from the light beams filtering through the cracks, I pause and take a short break, where I managed to recover my breath.

I walk closer towards the door, but I stop for a short, hesitant moment. I cannot for the life of me remember where this doors opens up to. I want to kick myself for forgetting where this leads to.

Once I reach the door, I unsurely press on the realease brick directly above the doorway (thats what I call it). This caused the set of bricks to gradually open.

Shielding my eyes with my arms I walk through the opening archway.

"Hello?" A unfamiliar voice says. I freeze. Oh no, please say I haven't just been caught.

I slowly force my arms down, away from my eyes and I place them beside my now slightly damo dress as my eyes adjusted to the bright light. Deep breath Emerald.

"Hello." I manage to spit out.

"What gives you right to enter my room?" The voice, which I now find out is a boy, asks.

I am frozen in my spot. I have never seen a boy before, unless you count, the grand anouncement balacony which I am rarely aloud to set foot on, which I don't.

I look over his perfect body, my eyes scanning over every possible detail. He is wearing strange clothing I am not familiar with, not even father would dare to wear his pants that high up his leg. I stare at the large amount of hair that was shown, that too was something foreign to me. My eyes travel their way up his legs nd his torso, where they slowly made their way down his arms. There was nearly the same amount of hair on the exposed skin of his arms that was on his legs. He had his sleeves rolled up, giving me a very good insight to the muscle that lay underneath his is pale skin. I make my way to his face, were I stare at every discernable feature I can locate. His chiseled jaw makes his five o'clock shadow stand out more than it should have. I guess he hasn't gotten around to shaving, since he probably just arrived from his trip. His eyes were dark, but seemed soft and warm and inviting. The dark brown hair that sat on top of his head was pushed back, as if he had just been running his finger through his hair. I am taken aback by the beauty of seeing a boy close. The boy coughs bringing me out of my sudden reverie.

"Excuse me." He interupts my thoughts. "I think one such as yourself should not be present in this wonderful room that bounds us." He says. I am bewildered. No one dares talk to me in such a way. I smile smugly obviously shocking the poor boy as his eyebrows knot together and his eyes widen.

"Oh goodness, how rude I much seem! Let me introduce myself: I am Emerald, the Princess and soon to be Queen of France." I say triumphantly and I then curtsy shortly after speaking, picking up the heavy skirt of my red dress. His face was just, just let me tell you was priceless, absolutely priceless.

"Bu-but the king menioned nothing of a princess." He mumbles nervously, I giggle slightly at his stutter, but thankfully, the strange man doesn't notice.

Of course he wouldn't!

"Let me guess... your the guest? Notice I wasn't at dinnr tonight? Yes thats because of my father... see, he wants me to have nothing to do with the outside world! I, my friend, have never been outside of the palace grounds!" I laugh again, although more audibly this time. This 'cause the boy to give me a slight look of concern.

"Oh." Is all he could manage.

"Hey, I thought you were suppose to be having dinner now! Hense me sneeking out and annoying my father." I ask.

"I was tired from my trip." He said as if it was obvious, which, taking another glance at his cheeks, would have been if I had actually mat a man other than my father.

"I see... Well, I'm going to depart now... it was a pleasure meeting you, and I hope to see you again soon..." I say casually before I turn around to leave the way I came. Before I even took two steps, a booming sound greeted my ears.

"Where do you think you're going?!" I hear my fathers voice behind me.

Oh darn. What do you do when in this situation? Run? Yeah... well... me too.
