Grimlock stared at the self checkout screen.

PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION TO COMPLETE THE TRANSACTION.

It read out in big green letters. He had already input his information over and over again he couldn't figure out why the screen still read that. Grimlock sighed irritatedly clenching the card in one fist. He looked at his hand, turning pale with pressure. He released his fingers and took a deep breath then looked around. He had no idea where the employees were, and he was about to lose his temper with this damned machine. He continued looking around till he saw that one man again.

His black, wavy hair hung partly over a rather frantic face. Very unlike the neat bun he had it in last time they met. Narrow, blue eyes scanning his items almost faster that he was scanning them with the machine. Grimlock had no idea why he was in such a hurry.

Drift seemed so calm when they first met. Maybe he was just ready for bed? It was pretty late at night, Grimlock was only there because he liked the peacefulness of nighttime grocery shopping. Drift swayed gracefully as he rushed his items over the scanner and carefully set them in the bags. It was only groceries of course.

There was something about him that seemed almost worried. "Hey... Drift right?" Grimlock smiled. Drift barely glanced at him. "Can't you see I am busy?" He grouched, putting away the last of his groceries. "I just wanted to say I like your outfit. It looks kinda like that stuff samurai's used to wear under their armor!" Grimlock smiled. "It is. I'm a bounty hunter, I need my armor for safety. Is that all?" He said impatiently, setting his bags in his cart. "Um... can you help me with my checkout?" Grimlock asked awkwardly. Drift glanced at his screen as he rushed past with his cart. "Try pressing submit, or whatever button is there... oaf."

After some time with the groceries Grimlock brought them to him truck. It wasn't much, only what he could make from owning a gym, but it was enough. Nothing like the sunset orange Bugatti beside him. He shut the door and turned to get in the driver seat when he saw Drift in that orange car. He drove away before Grimlock could talk to him but he was damn surprised. He must have a lot of money to be driving that.

{about 10-20 minutes later: Thursday}

Airazor stood, leaning against the wall of the apartment. He had a vape in his hand but it was late enough at night where he didn't think his cousin Rafa "Fracture" or his brother were going to catch him. "Child how old are you?" A calm voice asked by the door. Airazor flinched and stared at him. It was Drift. Airazor knew enough about him to know that he would probably snitch. After all he didn't like anyone related to Fracture all too well and he certainly didn't like him for fighting his son. "Why do you care old man?" He snapped. "You are fifteen if I remember correctly. Jetstorm's age." Drift continued anyway. "And?" Airazor said, blowing a puff of smoke at him. Drift waved it away and sighed. "You should be in bed."

"Well I'm not so what are you going to do about it?"Airazor said before drawing his vape. Drift shook his head. "I won't tell Fracture anything." His eyes were tired, "just hand it over and I'll take you up."

Airazor rolled his eyes. "No way." He was about to take another breath in when the vape was snatched from his hands. "It's almost midnight." Drift said holding it. "Give it back!" Airazor yelled, reaching for the pen. "Ah-ah!" Drift moved the pen out of reach and put a hand in front of Airazor's face, "if you take it before the end of next week I will be more than happy to report your behavior to your father."

Airazor's face fell and he took a step back, "My parents are dead. Fracture is our cousin."

Drift felt shock and pity wash over him and he didn't realize he lowered his hand. Airazor barely made eye contact as he snatched the vape pen back and went inside.
