We were all on the boat, that being Luke, Quinn, Josh, Trevor, Cole and Jack. We were just in the middle of the lake, not going anywhere, just chilling. Cole and Trevor were in the water, Jack was sitting in the back chatting with his friends, Quinn wouldn't get out of the driver's seat in fear of losing control, Josh was right next to him, and me and Luke were sitting in the front arguing about whether Jaylen Brown deserves a super max. I think we should keep him, don't get me wrong but the man cannot use his left hand.

Eventually Jack came up to Quinn and asked him if he would be up for wake surfing which he easily agreed to. From what I've heard from Lukey, they're obsessed with wake surfing. Trevor and Cole jump back into the boat as Quinn and Jack set up for surfing? Waking? Is there a nickname for wake surfing? Whatever it was they set it up as Trevor and Cole joined me and Lukey at the Bow of the boat.

"Hey I'm Cole by the way. I don't think we've been properly introduced." Cole says as he gives me a wave.

"I'm Charly, nice to formally meet you?" I question at the end.

"I love your music, ceilings is my jam." He tells me.

"Thank you," I tell him before turning to look at Trevor as I say, "I never thought NHL players would be listening to my music."

"Why? Do you not think we're intelligent enough?" Trevor quickly counters.

"No, I just didn't think you guys would be all over sad depressing songs is all." I fire back and before Trevor can respond the prince of hell-- I've decided that Cole is also no longer going to be a prince-- is calling the two boys over to watch him. And I can't deny that I do it too. I watch as he puts the life jacket on and buckles it up covering his toned chest. He has a smile on his face too but it's not one of the smirks I'm used to seeing. It's a full blown grin with his pearly white teeth and one of them is fake I learned from Lukey.

Eventually after the ropes are set up and the board is out he jumps in the water as his friends are back there with him, telling him something that makes him laugh. It was probably something stupid 'cause he's proven he's the type to laugh at stupid things.

As he gets pulled along he stays up for a while before letting the rope go and just staying with the boat. I don't know why I'm so shocked. From what I've heard from Lukey and Quinner they've been doing this for years but my brain seems to forget that as I watch.

After Jack had been on for what seemed like an eternity he comes in and Luke goes out back to get all suited up. I came back too with the intent of getting control of the music because as much as I can appreciate country music I needed to listen to something not about beer and heartbreak so I went over to Quinn.

"Can you open your phone so I can change the music," then I gave him puppy dog eyes, "please" and drew out the ease. He handed it over quickly and I searched for my personal account on spotify to find one of my upbeat summer playlist and turned it on. In the time it took me to do that Lukey was in the water and Jack was sitting and chatting away with his friends.

By the time the second song started the prince of hell perked up and opened his big mouth only to do the only thing it can and make fun of me.

"Who changed the music? Quinn didn't know you were into this girly stuff." And 1. Why are we gendering music Mr. Hughes. I know that boygenius is deep stuff but that doesn't mean that men aren't smart enough to understand it but you're making me rethink that one. But before I can open my mouth --which according to him is bigger than Trevor's-- Quinn speaks up trying to save his brother from my wrath.
