As Michael got into the car I couldn't have pulled him quickly enough before those lioness of woman pounced on him he seemed to be enjoying it so who was I to get in the way Well it's not like you are Diana Ross the boss but who are you again "oh will you stop it" forgetting my girls and Michael's eyes were locked on me "You okay Diane?" Quick Diane tell him that you are fine tell him that you aren't obviously jealous of the young women swooning over him in front of you
"Yes baby I'm fine I was just thinking about how famished we all must be" good save "hmm something to eat would be nice what do you think girls?" I watched as he turned to them the veins in his neck the muscles obviously poking out of his chest , who was I kidding this was MICHAEL my baby Michael a baby that has obviously grown up Diane am I really crushing on Michael?! No this could not be I won't allow it or at least I'll try but wow he looks so sexy so macho & before I could finish my thought my daughter tracee was tugging on the end of my sweatshirt "Momma.. MOMMA!!" "Yes sweetie I'm sorry what did you wanna tell me" "Michael said we could go home and he'll make us something to eat as long as it's alright with you." That's not the plan Diane "Well girls grandma is actually waiting for you, Michael and I have some work we have to start on unfortunately but maybe some other time you can make us a grand meal huh Michael" with the biggest grin to my face I looked over at Michael with his doe like brown eyes staring back into mine "I'll be more than happy to!" "Alright young ladies when we get to your grandmothers house you will be on your best behaviors I will be back later this week to bring you home with me"
I looked at my girls the disappointment in their eyes always tugged at my heart strings but no I promised Michael he'd get some time with me and we have more then enough time during this movie to catch up with each other. "Deal" Tracee agreed then Chudney nodded her head in agreement Rhonda playing in Michael's fro let out a big laugh "can we go see your movie momma & Michael?" "Well not so soon" Michael answered Rhonda "but sometime soon?" "If you are good with your grandmother I don't see why not or why your mother would say no" all of a sudden the limo was completely silent and all eyes were on me
"Yes you can but the moment any of you act up everyone pays & no one will be allowed to see it , understood?" They all nodded, I guess I wasn't the only one enchanted by Mr.Jackson then huh
"Hey Diane I think we're at your mothers house"

"Thank you" Well I know as soon as I step out of this car my mother is going to give me a earful about being alone with Michael but I am a grown woman I can control myself Can you really
Yes I can. "Alright girls say goodbye to Michael your grandmother is more then excited to see you again & I don't want any fussing Michael isn't going anywhere , you will see him again" The girls did as they were told they were good girls despite witnessing the tedious arguments Bob & I had
"Goodbye Michael" they all said in unison with a bit of sadness lingering on there face they rushed Michael before he could reply they were
squeezing him tightly as much as there little bodies could. "I'll see you soon! Be good with your grandmother so we can have some fun , deal"
"Deal!" They said in unison happily exiting the limo "thank you so much for all your help Michael I shouldn't be long" he looked at me with that sweet innocent look in his eyes filled with so much love "Of course Diane it's never a problem and always a pleasure, take your time we have nothing but time and I'm sure your mother has missed you" He wasn't wrong my mother hadn't seen me since Chudney had begun walking "Who made you so sweet Mr.Jackson?" He laughed shrugging his shoulders "Well it must come from my mother because we both know it isn't from Joseph" Diane stay focused If he only knew that other side to Katherine but that wasn't my place that was his mother and he wasn't like all the Jackson boys no Michael had something real special the other boys definitely took after Joseph I can't count on both of my hands how many times Michael called me furious about his brothers infidelities "Maybe just maybeeee , alright baby I'll be right back" leaving a red kiss of lipstick up against his muscular yet soft cheek he smiled holding me just a little bit tighter
"Alright I'll be here waiting" he couldn't stop smiling at me and me at him Diane open the door before your mother comes and drags you up out of this car I listened to my annoying conscious knowing she was absolutely right the girls already ran to the door & it wasn't enough that my mother knew I was going to be alone with Michael I try to get my mind out of this daze as I approached the door knowing my mother would be able to see right through what I've been hiding my obvious feelings for Michael that I was far from ready to confess about alright here we go
"Well thank you for finally making it through the door Diane, how was the plane ride over?" And here she was my mother slap dab right in front of me already trying to read my every thoughts
"It was a little bumpy because of turbulence but not too bad right girls, Michael kept us company and was nothing but a gentleman." My mother glared at me with one of her eyebrows frowned
"Well I'm glad that you all made it here safely that's all that matters" whew that was a close one I was sure she was gonna dig "Yes, Mother I shouldn't have you staying too long in New York I'm just settling things in the apartment for the girls and I , I appreciate you helping me."
"Diane I'm your mother and I will always be your mother and it's always a great joy watching the girls, how is Michael? Don't tell me you left him out there in that car Diane" quick think of something she's digging! "Well still I appreciate it mother , umm Michael is fine he's pretty happy about the project that we are going to be working on, yes mother I did not purposely only because Michael & I have some work we have to tend to, I'm sorry I can't stay longer but we will definitely catch up when I come and get the girls" nice save
"Well alright tell Michael I said hello & I do wish him the best with this project the two of you are doing, but next time Diane bring that boy inside!"
Shaking my head letting out a little chuckle
"yes mother I definitely will" as I gave my mother a hug goodbye , the girls came running towards us "group huggggg" they all shouted "i love you girls soooo much you be good with grandma and I will be back in no time" smiling at them all leaving red lip stick stains on the top of their heads "with Michael too right momma" Tracee & Rhonda made sure to yell out "Yes with Michael too" these girls had it just as bad as I did for Michael I can't believe the hold this man has on me and my babies without even trying just being himself. "Alright girls time to let momma and Michael get to work, be safe Diane."
"I will mother don't worry" I laughed trying to make my way out of the door "oh it's not you I'm worried about honey it's that Michael"
"Oh mother you don't have to worry about Michael"
"He's not the one I'm worried about Diane, I see that look on your face and those girls, you all have it bad for Mr.Michael Jackson"
"Oh mother would you stop please Michael is a very dear friend of mine"
"Alright Diane but don't act like I didn't tell you the truth"

"No no no mother I will not hear this I will see you soon! I love ya!" I couldn't run to the car fast enough , as soon as I opened the car door there he was picking at his soft cotton like fro his eyes locked on me "Ready Diane?" Oh I am I think
"Yes baby I'm ready , sorry I took so long" I tossed my hair over my shoulder facing my body towards him "What now?" "Well now we are going to check out The Wiz to start to get a good idea of our characters. How does that sound?"
With no hesitation he smiled taking my hand as he always did when we got a moment to be alone
"Sounds great" I smiled back at him "Sounds like a date then Mr.Jackson.
