The World That Once Was

Prologue:

Earth. Our Planet. Our home. Well, it was our home... Before they came and claim it as theirs. Everything was peaceful and normal during the days before they came and started to rob us of our only home. They are some sort of extraterrestrials. To be more clear, they're aliens. These otherworldly creatures came from space. Oh, of course they came from space. Movies taught us that. Well, as movies always suggest, they visit Earth, invade our planet, and we humans try to stop them. The aliems did invade us. But unlike most alien movies that depict us winning against them, the opposite happened. We... inevitably lost. They took complete ownership of our planet. They killed many who are part of the remaining humans who formed a resistance group. They also imprisoned some, only to meet a slow and painful death. Those who are held captive in their maximum security cells probably met a fate only known to the aliens. How did I know about the resistance stuff? I am part of a resistance group, that's why. We strive to regain our planet. To regain our world that once was our home. I am Kayla Evans. And I swear that we will have Earth back.
