"Once upon a time in a happy forest, in the happiest tree... lived the happiest creatures, the world has ever known- The Trolls!"
"They loved nothing more than to Sing! And Dance! And hug! Dance, and hug, and sing, and dance!- and so on..." Poppy chuckled to herself, her sweet smile showing her front tooth's. She shook her head, shaking herself back in focus, continuing her reading.
"But, then one day... the Trolls were discovered by a Bergen! The Bergens didn't know how to sing, or dance, or even hug! They were the most miserable creatures in all the land! And once they saw how happy the Trolls were- they wanted some of that happiness for themselves." The Teenie Tiny Troll Children and I, all gasped in unison, as Poppy turned her thick book in hand, around, showing us a scrapbooked picture of the Bergen eating the poor little Troll on the page. She pulled in a paper strap, making the Bergen's arm move back and forth. She turned the book back around and began reading again. "Eating a Troll made them feel so happy. They started a tradition- once a year, every year, the Bergens would gather around the Troll tree to taste happiness."
"On a holiday, they called..." Poppy leaned her upper body closer, making the children move closer as well. "Trollstice!" She said in a lower voice, making the tension so much thicker.

Back in time:
"Trolls, Trolls, Trolls, Trolls!" The Bergens repeated, like a song. Whole BergenTown was cheering on, as they all gathered around the Troll Tree inside the big metal cage they have build around it.
The Chef of BergenTown, standing in front of the closed cage. As every Bergen neared the Tree, stopping in front of it, She shushed them all as she was about to have her yearly Trollstice speech. Every Bergen quiet down their repeating words, as some moved out of the way, letting the King get in front, with his son sitting on his shoulders. "This is a very special Trollstice, as there is one amongst us, who has never tasted a Troll" The Chef of BergenTown began, her gaze looking out at every Bergen, but she landed on the young Prince. "Ooh, me! She is talking about me!" The young prince Gristle of BergenTown squealed exited. "Prince Gristle-" the Chef started as the young Prince gasped in excitement, "The time, has come" his father sat him down, as he told him. "It's okay son, I remember being nervous my first time!" He reassured. Young Gristle gave two thumbs up, as he got placed on the ground. "That's my boy!" The king said looking proud, giving the Prince two thumbs back. The young Prince sat exited waiting for his first Troll.
"It is my sacred duty to initiate you in the ways of true happiness" the chef spoke up again, leaning her frame down to the Prince' low height. The gates squeaked open slowly, giving access for The Chef and the Prince to walk through the big, black, gates.
"I have chosen an extra-special Troll, just for you." She pointed her pointer finger up to one of the little house-like plants, hanging from the tree, it was a bright pink one. She snapped it open, with her thump and pointer finger, as the leaves of it opened up. She grabbed the small Troll. "The happiest- the most positive, sweetest Troll of all. And because every Prince deserves a Princess! I give you the one they call, Princess Poppy." She finished her small speech, but got taken aback by the Prince snatching the Troll out of her hands.
"Please make me happy Princess Poppy" Prince Gristle whispered to the Troll, holding her tightly in his hands and close to his mouth. And then he shoved her in his mouth.
"What are you feeling?" The Chef clapped her hands together and asked exitedly. The Prince was chewing, shoving the little Troll around in his mouth, from left cheek to right. But to the Chef's surprise, he then made a disgusted face and spat the Troll out in his hand and threw her away, making little princess Poppy fly a few meters away from them. "Eww, that one was rotten!" He complained as the chef went after the Troll the Prince have just spat out. She reached it and took the hair off the 'Troll's' head as she realised it was made of wood. "It's fake?!" She mumbled in Surprise. But even thought it was a small mumble, the whole Town was being quiet and overheard it. "Fake?!" Was repeated in shock, the king looked furiously at the Chef. She kicked the tree, and a lot of wooden Trolls fell to the ground, making small thuds in the ground. "T-they're gone?" The young Prince asked on the edge of tears, his bottom lip vibrating.
The King saw his Son's state, only wanting happiness for his son."where are they." He asked with gritted teeth, making the words come out as a mumble. He clenched his hairy fist, his nails digging into his rough skin.
"Don't worry sire, we'll find them." The Cook answered in a hurry, her nervousness showing, as the Kings hard gaze has burned holes in the back of her head. Her eyes as big as teacups, she snaps her fingers, and three of her servants appeared, shoving themselves to the ground listening beneath the ground. The young Prince joined, "I think I hear something!" The Prince said, his left ear against the ground.

Deeply under the ground, there were some long tunnels, thick tunnels. All the Trolls, leaded by King Peppy, were running as fast as they could, "Go! Go!" King Peppy said as he hyped all the Trolls to keep going, holding their running pace.
"We got Poppy!"
"Pass her to me!"
"Here comes Poppy" the Trolls said to each other, carrying the little Princess up to her father. "There's my Princess" The King said as his little girl landed in his arms. "King Peppy, some of the others can't keep up!" A male Troll informed. "No Troll left behind!" King Peppy shouted giving the Troll his torch. He dropped pieces of his clothes to help the Trolls behind not to step and trip in holes and pools of water. "Thanks, King Peppy" they all thanked, as lifted a rock blocking their way. When he was out of clothes, only standing in his underwear, he carried the rest of them himself. "No Troll left behind!" He kept shouting. More and more Trolls got behind, because right above them, the Bergens has started digging for them in the ground. Trolls got either hit by a shovel or pushed back by the pressure.
As King Peppy helped the Trolls get back to their feet, he saw in the distance a Troll falling, not able to keep up. It was one of the elder Female Trolls in the village, she fell with a baby in her arms, king Peppy rushed to get her up as his arms were free.
"King Peppy, I found this little girl in the tree all scared and alone" she explained, handing the baby girl to him.
"She's so beautiful" he said admiring her beautiful Golden orange skintone and her bright red hair, it was sweetly sat up with a small bow. The little girl kicked her small feet, wiggling around in his hand. She got her red locks in her eyes. King Peppy lightly moved his hand, to move her hair away, to see her big, beautiful green eyes. "What are we going to do King Peppy?" The Troll asked again looking concerned up at him. He helped her to her feet, not moving his gaze from the little girl.
"She can't be alone."
"Then raise her as your own, she will become a good sister to Poppy" The Troll Smiled, snapping King Peppy out of his trance, moving his gaze from the beautiful Troll Baby. A simple nod was enough of an approval for the idea. He reached her up to join his daughter in his hair, letting them stay hidden. Peppy went back to help more Trolls, leading the elder Troll with him, giving her his support.

All of BergenTown has started digging in the ground as the King entertained his son. "Daddy where are they!" Prince Gristle asked, "Don't just stand there, make my son happy!" He shouted at some of the Bergens, who decided to take a break. "He will be happy!" The Chef jumped in, shoving a Bergen out of her way, taking his shovel in the action. She lifted the shoved over her head and shoved it hard into the ground.
~~~
King Peppy struggled to avoid all the tools digging down in the ground, one of the shovels, got shoved in the ground, getting hook of his underwear. He is stuck, with a large ball of Trolls on top of him. The King looked forward, noticing another shovel getting shoved in the ground, it was gonna block their way out. Without a second thought, he threw the ball of Trolls, he was carrying as they rolled down the long tunnel, avoiding all the axes and shovels on their way.
They all collapsed as they reached the end of the tunnel. All the other Trolls, who has made it outside, looked confused, as there was no sight of their king, one of the male Trolls with a broken leg, limping up to the tunnel, looking for Peppy. He couldn't see much from all of the dust forming in the opening, from the possibly collapsed Tunnel.
"I-I don't think King Peppy made it.." he concluded, stuttering out the words, looking sadly back. The village shared his sadness, gasping in realisation. A Troll mother pulling her kid in for a hug."When I say no Troll left behind-" a faint voice said in the Tunnel. All the Trolls lifted their heads looking intently into the dark tunnel. "I mean No. Troll. Left. Behind!" King Peppy said now fully out of the Tunnel, and without his underwear... All the Trolls started to cheer, not because he wasn't wearing any clothes, but because he was alive.
"King Peppy, where's Princess Poppy?" One of them asked, stepping forward. "Don't worry she's safe-" he said opening his hair and taking Poppy and the little girl out, he has gotten on the way, "and she has got a friend" he added. "What is her name then?" Another Troll asked as they admired the little girl.
"I think I will call her, Princess..." The King thought, his gaze landed on the two girls in his arms, a smile forming on his lips. "Juniper!" He spoke. Awes were heard, Trolls admiring the new Sisters. "But we'll be a lot safer the further we get from BergenTown" King Peppy added as he took the lead.
"Go! Go! Hurry!" He hyped with a little girl in each hand.
Back at BergenTown, the Bergens had given up on finding the Trolls, as it has gotten dark outside.
"That's right! Take her away!" The King of Bergens yelled as all of BergenTown was carrying around torches, lightning up the town. They were carrying the Chef out of BergenTown. "Get her out of my sight! She is hereby banished from BergenTown, Forever!" The king yelled from his castle. "I'll make the Prince Happy, We can all be happy again! I'll find the Trolls!" The Chef spoke, kicking her feet and moving her arms around, trying to loosen the grip of the Bergens holding her off the ground. She was desperately trying to convince them and herself, she would. She got thrown out of the gates of the city, landing in a muddy spot, as the gate doors harshly got closed behind her, the sound of metal ringing through the forest. She was hereby banished from her own town.
"And shove them down your ungrateful throats." She finished angrily, lifting her head from the dirty ground, she was shoved onto. She brushed her apron off and went off by herself into the forest.The little Prince watched the scene from a window afar, pouting sadly over the disappointment from this day, he has been looking forward to. As the king returned to his throne, throwing himself tiredly into the seat. The little Prince made his way up to his father. "But Daddy... I never got to eat a Troll..." He mumbled, as he looked hopefully up at his father. "What's gonna make me happy now?"
"Come here my son" the King said lifting his son up on his lap, he opened his mouth to say something. "Nothing." He said changing his face expression to a sad one. "Absolutely nothing. You will never, ever, ever, ever, Ever! Be happy"
The Prince's little face, was darkening, loosing all light in his eyes. "Never?"
"Ever." He king answered plainly. The Prince looked down, his bottom lip vibrating as tears streamed from his eyes, rolling down his cheeks.
The little maid girl, mopping the floor, noticed the Prince's sadness. Her own expression falling, looking down sadly as she made her way to the door, dragging her mop along with her. The king has seemed to notice, looking confusingly after her, but couldn't help feel the shared sadness.
The day which started out so great, ended like this. A total disaster. They had to realise, Bergens wasn't meant to feel happiness.
