"Here. Right here." The King announced out loud, digging his lit torch into the large mushroom he was standing on top of. "Is where we will rebuild our civilisation!" He finished, with a Princess in one hand and the other sitting beside the torch. "It has everything we need! Fresh air, clean water-" he cut his own speech off when his gaze landed on his new daughter, Juniper. She was letting her curiosity win by sticking her small hand up to touch the colourful inferno. His foot squeezed in between her and the fire, and with soft kicks he scooted her backwards.
"a-and sweet acoustics!" He finally finished, still distracted by the baby troll who tried crawling back towards the light. Peppy lifted Poppy, who he was holding in his right palm, lifting her higher up towards the blue sky. His gaze shifted between his daughters, careful not to drop Poppy and keeping an eye out for the curious one at his feet.
Poppy pulled out a big golden cowbell, bigger than herself, banging on it with a wooden stick and a catchy rhythm.
Already at a young age, both Poppy and Juniper showed signs of curiosity and bravery, figuring out what is dangerous in their eyes and what is not.
King Peppy noticed the bravery especially. Life shouldn't be lived in fear, it shouldn't rule your life by living in constant fear of what could happen or what could repeat itself. But hopefully when his girls grow older, they will respect it.
Not fear the world, but fear the creatures living in it.

"Twenty years ago today, King Peppy made us safe. And now every Troll is free to be happy and live in perfect-" Poppy is still reading aloud from her scrapbook. 🎵Harmony🎵 She finished her sentence with singing the last word.
🎵Harmony🎵 I repeated her word, singing myself. 🎵Harmony~🎵 The group of kids surrounded by Poppy's feet, sitting on their bums, joining our singing tune with their high-pitched voices.
"And that's why we hug every hour" One of the small Trolls spoke up once the singing died down. She had her stomach pressed against the floor, her feet swinging back and forth.
"Yep." Poppy slammed her scrapbook shut, making me blink in surprise by the sudden slam. "I wish it was every half hour..." a purple chubby Troll then mumbled, his gaze following his finger, which was circling around in the carpet.
"So do we! But that wouldn't leave much time for singing and dancing, now, would it?" I spoke up, all eyes on me now. I jump up from my sitting spot in between the Troll Kids. I took the thick book out of Poppy's grasp, walking up to the golden stand and placing the book at its rightful spot.
A Troll then raised her tiny hand up in the air. "Princess Poppy, Princess Juniper, do the Bergens still want to eat us?"
"You bet!" Poppy quickly answered leaving her sweetest smile. All the kids gasped with eyes as big as teacups, their small hands shooting up in front of their mouths. "But just because it's the only way they'll ever be happy." Poppy then added, she could feel the elephant she accidentally brought into the room. With a desperate expression, her eyes locked with mine. At this point she didn't know what to say as a reassurance.
"Oh no, I do taste delicious!" The purple chubby one commented again, leaving a trail of his saliva along his arm as he licked it. I shook my head at him with a smile hard to hide. Poppy got back to her feet, standing up from the mushroom seat she was sat on. Right when her toes touched the carpet, one of the kids clenched to Poppy leg, seeming too scared to ever let go. "I don't wanna be food!" She sobbed, tightening her arms around Poppy.
"Isn't there anything else to make them happy?" One of the other Troll children asked.
"Ooh. What about having birthday parties!"
"Or slumber parties?" Requests rolled in from each Troll, holding their tiny hands up. Mine and Poppy's heads shot back and forth between them as the hands got raised. "Or staring at your parents while they sleep." The smallest of them all, Keith commented. The expression on his face and the unexpected comment, made a shiver run down my spine. The other kids got uneasy, as they let out an 'Eww'
With a forced, calm tone, I said: "Don't worry. No Troll will ever be food again!" My hands clasped together in front of my face, while Poppy's reached down, grabbing the small Troll, unclasping her small hands from around her leg. "As long as we have our King in charge and soon to be Queen Poppy, we will all be safe" I then continued, stepping forward to stand beside my sister who just sat the small Troll down beside the others again. I reached my palm out, interlinking it with hers. She send a smile my way, before meeting the gazes of many small eyes looking hopeful up at us. "and that's why we're celebrating, with the biggest party ever! Everybody is gonna be there!" Poppy hair suddenly got split in two and little Keith stuck his head out from it. "Everybody?"
"Everybody" With my free hand, I reached into my own mane, getting a hold of the golden cowbell belonging to Poppy, then handing it to her.
She released her hand from mine, grasping the instrument from the other and started banging on it.
The flower petals covering us opened up, one by one.
🎵 Everybody. Move your hair and feel united. Ohhh~🎵 Poppy sang, swinging her hair and jumping to the rhythm of her cowbell.
She slid down one of the flower petals, me sliding down the same one, following right behind her. 🎵Everybody. Shake your hair and feel united. Oh, oh, ohh~🎵 I sang along to her tune, before the both of us felt the grass between our toes as we reached the ground.
