Chapter 9 Pt. 3 – Bengeance will be Mine!

Once more, as the sun rises over the wonderful city of Mondstadt, a palpable sense of freedom permeates the very atmosphere. The bustling residents are immersed in their daily routines, each with their own unique stories unfolding amidst the backdrop of a vibrant community. At the moment, the most important thing is that Eula is strolling across town, but nobody is talking trash about her behind her back.

"Heh, seems like everything returned to normal once again!" As always, Amber was right by her side, ready to join in the adventure. And this time, her relief couldn't help but burst out of her like a sparkling fountain.

"So it seems," that was the only remark that Eula made as she proceeded to soak in the sun and take pleasure in this picturesque stroll.

"To be honest, it was a little frightening yesterday. Even though I was trying to act all brave, it still made me super nervous. The mob was swarming closer and closer together." Amber couldn't help but shiver as she recalled the dramatic events of yesterday. Usually people are neutral with Eula if she accompanies her; that's why, deep down, she was shocked that their aggression started to spread to her as well.

"Fortunately, Tennyson's aliens allowed him to defuse the situation. Whilst it appears that the knowledge is confined solely to the two of us, the remaining denizens of the town have erroneously surmised that Elias succumbed to the burdensome weight of expectation." For some reason, Eula couldn't shake the mental picture of Pesky Dust. The extraterrestrial being had reached a point of permanence in her mind, etching itself into her memory for all eternity.

"Hehe. I told you, Ben ain't gonna hold a grudge against you. I just wish I could've snapped a picture of that alien he used. Something I could use to playfully tease him." All the Outrider truly wanted to do was enjoy and giggle at what was perhaps Ben's most absurd transformation to date.

"May I inquire as to his current whereabouts? Is he persisting in his pursuit of uncovering the malevolent machinations orchestrated by my uncle?" in order to get retaliation for the chaos that occurred the day before, Eula inquired because she would happily assist him in locating her criminal uncle at this time.

"Nah. He promised to play with Klee today. Explosive tremors will undoubtedly be felt in abundance around this time. But I guess they're lucky that Jean is out of town right now for some important meeting," Amber's voice echoed with wonder as she recounted the moment when Klee's face lit up with pure joy. It was as if the mischievous Spark Knight had cast a spell, declaring that this day would be etched in the books of greatness.

Tragically, their serene stroll was abruptly shattered by a deafening blast, accompanied by a dazzling surge of electricity that rippled through the far reaches of the city. The mysterious culprit behind this destruction is wreaking havoc, causing widespread panic and leaving residents scrambling to escape the chaos.

"Mondstadt is currently being attacked!" while assisting in the evacuation of the people, one of the knights who had been stationed yelled out loud.

"Seriously, again? That's like the fourth time in the past month." A sigh came out of Amber's mouth as she drew her bow in preparation for the fight.

"Let us delve into the depths of the attack without squandering any precious moments! It is imperative that we prevent any further harm befalling the city, especially in light of the recent restoration efforts undertaken following the assault by the formidable Crimson Witch of Flames," Eula spoke these words with an authoritative voice as she summoned up her claymore and hurried beside Amber in the direction of the location where the assault had taken place.
